No... this is a custom ROM for rooted phones and must be downloaded and flashed manually.

Already rooted, & flashed CheckROM rev 2.0 w/ Speedmod kernel. Just wanted to see if updates were different. Thanks....

I was joking about do the shit with the kitchen but take the links down. Everything seemed fine until I selected the font and then every 4 second my phone rebooted. I had to flash a recovery. It will teach me to do a recovery more than once a month a suppose

Not sure I understand Shotgun84!

The Kitchen method worked for me, see my post #4.

The Roboto .apk also works.

Seriously don't worry about it. I really should know better and make a backup more often. I don't know why but the tip about the kitchen didn't work and the apk, well you know the rest

Edit: I'll wait. He warns us not to flash anything from the kitchen until he officially announces on XDA. I'm liking Speedmod's kernel. Unless he got that 3.5mm jack bug fixed in Siyah...

Once you are on this rom you do actually have ota updates for the rom itself.
V2 users who have not updated to v3 manually will be notified through the kitchen when v3 is officially released and can be downloaded and upgraded automatically.

What modems will you all be using? This v3 seems to be bundled with KI1

Siyah 2.2beta6 works great on it Sydney99.

JKay v12.1 themes not compatible yet.

I flashed over v2.0 without wiping and no problems in the last couple of hours so far.

Seems very, very, slick and smooth. I didn't think it was possible.

When I installed a couple of app's fro the Kitchen I downloaded them and selected apply... nothing seemed to happen. However, when I went into Recovery or Reboot, they started installing OK. I guess the Kitchen app hasn't been updated yet.

I usually wipe but as I was already running v2 and it is specified as a non-wipe I just went for it. If I get any problems then I shall do a wipe and install but so far all is working perfectly.

Honest truth?... I was given the link at about 16.30 hrs; GMT, and whilst I downloaded the ROM I did a nandroid and Titanium backup. However, I was so excited, and it was advertised as, "no wipe", I just couldn't resist it.

I wanted to check it out on mine, and everyone else's, behalf, before posting it on the forum. Plus I had the safety net of the 2 backup's to get me out of trouble.

I did, later in the evening, do a wipe... just to be on the safe side.

Anyway... stop picking on me until I've had my caffeine fix!

UPDATE

Seeing that screen shot again, reminds me that I changed my modem from KI1 to KI4, in lieu of anything better at the moment, with no problems.

P.P.S.

Tried the lulzactive governor last night but found I had lots of wakelocks and not as much deep sleep as usual... so back to smartassv2 which allows it to go into a coma.

A few more bug fixes. Not a lot else as far as I can tell.

Has anyone noticed any changes with this kj version with regards to the firmware?
Only things I've noticed is swype going back a version and the gingerbread keyboard being introduced. This may be a rom thing as opposed to actual firmware update.
I can't say I've actually spotted anything up to now.

not yet got 3.0 on my phone. in the middle of charge cycling a new battery - on 15% last night so didnt feel a good idea to go flashing a rom and had to wait until fully discharged and recharged. the bugger hadn't fully discharged by bedtime, so had to wait until this am to recharge. nnnnnnnnhhhhh. cureently on 96%, so will be flashing very soon....... then the next sydney siyah saga begins............

I use the Smooth Calendar widget in conjunction with Touch Calendar and the TouchPal keyboard... so, no biggy for me.

Right... BBC Click on. Want to see if they mention my mates iPhone battery problem. It was rubbish when he got it and he eagerly loaded the updated fix in the week... which actually made it worse!

3.1.1 is apparently imminent but its not as if v3 is riddled with bugs. I've only had that error message once when I was clearing tw4 launcher defaults and restoring its backup but other than that its been behaving itself perfectly.

I'm going to wait for the new version to appear and do a full wipe next time round and happily have a fiddle with v3 in the meantime.

Was smooth as silk but to be honest didn't notice much difference to 2.0 with speed mod. Kept getting that error message loads so back to 2.0 and honda wait for 3.1 and do full wipe.

So don't worry ironass. A few more days until I want about siyah again, don.t need to avoid forum write yet!

B4 an upgrade, what do u usually wipe ? Everything, or just Dalvik cache ?

I do a factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache.
I also clear battery stats for good measure.

then I usually repeat the whole procedure again
