checkrom version 3.0 out

Nice. thanks. I'm fairly new to this, so bare with me... After the procedures listed above, & a flash, will Titanium backup only restore your homescreen layout, apps & settings ? I'm under the impression that it also restores everything in the dalvik/cache/battery stats that you wiped....
 
I just use titanium to save my own apps.
after installing a rom after a full wipe you will go through the initial setup procedure.
I decline the option for a google restore of apps because wifi has not been set up at that point and the apps it actually downloads seem to me to be a random selection of all the apps I've ever downloaded from the market.
Instead I set up wifi then download titanium from the market and use this to restore the apps I want.
I use go launcher so this allows you to backup all your home screen settings and apps so I restore from this.
Many of your widgets may also have a backup feature so you just need to check if they do and make a backup before doing the wipe.

Awesome. I'm using Launcherpro, it also has a backup option. Thanks alot mang...
 
I really don't want to cause any unnecessary alarm guys and am fully aware that AV software can throw up false-positives for numerous reasons, but I dl'd the zip to Windows desktop with the intention of d 'n d'ing it to sdcard and doing a full wipe (I didn't do so the last couple of roms, so thought it was time for a clean install) and Eset flagged a trojan in the root.

Here's the full path: C:\Users\(my username)\Desktop\XWKJ2_CheckromRevolutionHD_V3.0.zip

Are you going for v3.1.1 Sydney99?

Thinking of getting an intravenous line for coffee at this rate. However, I don't really want to bypass my mouth altogether as I need to rid myself of the, "licking a badgers bum", taste. :p

So far, so good.

Even though it's a, "no wipe" ROM (if coming from a previous version), I've done a wipe and installed. The KI kernel it comes with is pretty good but I've installed Siyah 2.2beta7 anyway.

Just at the point of getting my head around what other mod's, like Green Circle battery, that I need.

Shame about the JKay v13 themes being a week away but no big deal.
 
oh yes. gonna do full wipe too. think am gonna stick to speedmod 18 for a while though

you back on KI4 modem? is this better than the KI1 it comes with?
 
Oh god Sydney99... questions!

Just going to KI4 now as this has proved to be very good in the past for signals for me... better than previous versions.

Just trying to remember what mod's I need to add... don't need to do Market 3.3.11 .apk install as it's already in this ROM.

Is it me... or is the Kitchen changing before my eyes? :confused:

The themes have disappeared... so have some of the widgets and mod's!

Need more coffee!

No problem mate... has your Kitchen morphed!

One minute I had themes... next, like the Matrix, they disappeared!
Same with other things that were in the kitchen.

I'm quite willing to believe it's me! :confused:

This is because the kitchen app default server has changed to v3.1.1 butty

If you want the themes back you need to change it back to v2, but as you are now on 3.1.1 there is little point.

My mods are:
font pack
green circle battery
statusbar mix flip animation from dlev
bln
camera mod (improve picture+video)
adhosts
siyah 2.2
KI4 modem

Some I can use from previous versions (eg font pack, status bar animation) but otherwise, so far, only adhosts and bln are not up on the kitchen

Sydney99 and I have been hard at it for a couple of hours already!

Our mod's are virtually identical it seems. Except I use Dlev's Flying-Flip animation.

Can somebody tell me if the Kitchen has changed in the last half hour... or Have I truly lost the plot and should book myself into the Priory or Betty Ford Clinic. :confused:

yup, just updated on xda website too. all official and out there now, no more checkrom website exclusivity!!!

don't worry ironass, it wasnt the first signs of alzheimers

does the dlev flip animation work on checkrom? presumeably this is available on dlev xda page??

Bluetooth

Gallery

Market (very fast)

All OK. No FC's. Boots fine with Nexus Prime animation.

All good so far. :)

Loads of stuff being added to the Kitchen.
 
I'm all up and running after a full wipe.

just waiting for adhosts and bln to pop up into the kitchen now....
 
Everything works fine for me. Did a full wipe this time and can actually change the text now. Can't really pick a fault with it yet.
 
I take it the Kitchen will be updated with more stuff soon? Like Ironass lots of content missing. The kitchen app is in need of an overhaul.
 
It's always the same when a new version comes out. Be patient! It takes a little while for the dev to make sure each is compatible
