checkrom version 3.0 out

Its actually downloadable via the kitchen now!
Typical! Gadget/Leo stealing my thunder!
:)

Murphy's Law old son!

I was in the middle of one of my tomes on how to activate BLN manually by copying files across in "system" when your post came up. :p

That Murphy certainly is a sod butty! :)

All i need now is for someone to text me to see if its working.
Damn I wish I had a friend!!! :D

Plan A.

Text your missus that you just remembered that you're going out on a stag night tonight.

Sit back and wait for text. :D

Has anyone else noticed this? If you don't add a theme (because you can't at the moment) you see H+ more often. I'm pretty sure it was the same on other rev rooms but wouldn't bet my life.

wouldn't know pal, don't get H+ in yorkshire, i only see it on my phone when i go down south. it's obviously too posh for us northern types.

Yeah I'm a posh southerner if south east counts. I'll let you know if it changes when themes are available. :D

So the kitchen has themes. If I choose one it says 2 downloaded, 2 failed then gives me the option to instal which doesn't work (no surprise) Anyone else had that?

Ignore that. Tried again and was directed to this

Deleted them and it seems to be downloading now. Will let you know if I lose H+

Maybe deleting the old check rev folder helped.

Once it's downloaded don't bother pressing instal as it wont work. Reboot into recovery and instal the zip from there.
Almost forgot, H+ has disappeared.

I think the issue with downloading+installing via the kitchen is CWM related.
It doesnt work for me but I'm on Siyah which has CWM5 as standard.
I put nimph2.1.3 on and updates come through and install without a hitch.

No butty, you can't be in such a bad state to make silly mistakes like that, but as its still your birthday its a little worrying why you're not!! :)

I'm on a trial separation with Siyah at the moment! I'm running on Androidmeda TWD 2.5 kernel for now. It actually seems very good and comes with the old faithful CWM 4.0.0.2. Has more governers than you can shake a stick at and can be set to 1600 max in setcpu. (as per Siyah) I think I'll give the usual million changes per day on Siyah a rest for a while and re-dabble in a few weeks time. Its getting a bit monotonous now, and I want a little continuity for a change.

You can't set the cpu core modes in the 2nd core app with TWD, but it automatically switches dynamically between using core 0 on its own, or both cores, which is all I want anyway. I dont think I would ever set it to purposely always use both, or only one, so this isnt a problem for me. And at least being on CWM4, I wont have to mess about installing kitchen updates manually.

I'll have to do another CWM backup now, as I wont be able to restore any done in CWM5

Alright, 3.1.1 installed with good ol' Siyah 2.1.1. At last I'm back up to date! Work + an update per week = me skipping a lot of versions of Siyah and CheckROM each time :P

I'm getting off this train for now im afraid. 3.0 + has brought so many errors and lack of features for me that I'll either be downgrading or going back to something different altogether. Wi-fi signal has deteriorated , The kitchen app is lack luster , CWM 5 sucks . I can't even connect to my home wifi since i upgraded. I cant use the email app becaue it keeps telling me im not registered with Samsung social hub in a constant loop.

I've now ditched TWD for Siyah 2.2 Beta6.
After more use, I found it quite laggy compared to Siyah.

Manual kitchen updates for me from now on:)
