Root clear caches?

I've got a nandroid backup of a Fresh rom and a Myn rom...Should I clear caches when switching/restoring between the two?

If you're the paranoid type, you can. It takes all of about 5 seconds. That being said, the reason you don't need to is that nandroid makes a backup of both the /cache and /data partitions, which is where cache and dalvik are stored, respectively (unless the rom you're using has dalvik moved to cache, but it doesn't make a difference in this case). That being said, when you restore a nandroid, these partitions are overwritten with the backup, wiping out what was there before.

I wipe them before, and after doing the nandroid

no idea why...I just do

I always wipe the battery stats too

I do too anyway, haha. I don't usually bother with batt stats unless I'm switching kernels as a part of the nandroid restore. And even at that, I wait until I've charged the battery to 100%.
