Excellent, just plain excellent. Thanks to those guys that made this happen. Now, just waiting for some cool custom roms.
 
HI I installed CWM recovery on my phone, the i booted into recovery then i tried to make a fullbackup. then my phone froze in the middle of back up and was stuck there for about 15 min so i pulled the battery out, put in a different sd card and booted into CWM recovery using Volume - and power button and tried to do a full back up again and it froze again. then i decided to boot normaly into the phone and now its stuck in a Boot loop to where every time it only goes straight to Clockworkmod recovery. I tried to use boot loop fix from the esteem forum but it doesn't work. any help would be appreciated thanks..

do a full backup while ur still in CWM. recover back to stock, root install CWM and do a restore of only data, cache and sdcard.secure and you should go back to where you where before you got stuck in cwm boot loop.

the two rm lines/errors are fine, the fact that you got
1411+0 records in
1411+0 records out
5779456 bytes transferred in 1.077 secs (5366254 bytes/sec)

means it worked just fine

I had it snag up on me as well, the second time around it went all the way through. However when I attempted to go into cwm manually like you suggested hold vol - and power, I held them down until after the lg logo, a screen popped up saying "to do a hard factory reset press power or to reboot press any other button", of course I hit Vol - and it just rebooted. But, can anyone shed a lil light on what happened? Did I hold down the buttons too long? And will proceeding with a hard factory reset that way wipe the phone back to stock?

Is your phone rooted?

hmm I am still stuck in the bootloop I tried following the steps, but now I am stuck, any ideas? need help :/ the Lg Updater cant communicate with the Phone and it only keeps coming to the CWM Recovery.
