Root Clockwork Mod Recovery

I need your help I am still stuck and it doesnt want to start I tried restoring to factory settings and all, and still it doesnt seem to want to bring it past CWM, is there a way to change so it doesnt or flash the stock if anybody has the file would be the only way. But at this time I have no phone >.<

wow man Markolo I love you lol no gay you saved my phone, now is the problem with CWM still constant?, why is it that it doesnt backup at all?

I'm holding down the volume + & - with the power button to try and get into cwm but it just gives me this still refresh symbol and below it it say "Download in progress. Do not disconnect cable." It's staying that way for at least 15 minutes before I decide to pull out the battery..... Any thoughts on what I should do???

how you managed to get past the boot loop, I seem to get it everytime, they need to fix CWM on the Lg Connect is misbehaving.

"they" dont need to fix shit

cwm works fine and performs flawlessly. markolo25 found a way to use the hardware keys to get into recovery mode, however it was discussed in earlier posts that THAT WAS A BAD IDEA, now it seems everyone is just reading how to do it without taking the time to realize that the 15 posts above theirs are all people now having the same issues.

power and vol - creates the boot loop from what I have experienced the only way I found was with Rom Manager Booting to Recovery doesnt Boot Loop, let me know If I am doing something wrong or any other key pattern that I am not aware of.

rom manager works fine, using terminal emulator and using teh command reboot recovery will work, as will issuing that same command via adb

I use quick boot pro to get into cwm for now. Can't wait for a custom rom so we can reboot into recovery from the power button.

Ouchie...not too shabby there penguin..ur a rockstar bro

Do not use hardware keys to boot into CWM!

You have been warned. Don't be a farktard. Please.

That being said, if you've already screwed yourself (ALL MODIFICATIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, NOT OURS), we know how to fix your mistake.

I got a question i installed CWM...and rebooted into recovery throught the app menu ,once in CWM i tried to do a Backup and all was going great until it started backing up the data ..it got stuck on a text file for 10 mins ...i hit the volume key and power button and restared the phone and it booted up without a problem ..What might i be doing wrong that the phone isnt backing up ?

Clear the cache via cwm, then backup

Is this being further developed? Im kinda iffy on flashing this seeing the problems people are having. I appreciate the hard work put into getting a cwm recovery on the device, but would like to know of its being worked on for the issues some are having?

the issues some people are having are self inflicted, dont use the hardware keys as mention. my bet on that is it starts up realizes that cwm is not stock and freezes there, we have a way to fix anyone who feels teh need to keep doing it

post 8 explains what happened

then in post 13, someone does it right after hearing about someone getting fixed

in post 25, we have someone again doing it.... in post 29 yet another person doing it... and in 30 we have someone who cant figure out how to bootloop his phone.

pl4life actually had it so bad that his phone was all sorts of screwed

to the point that k0nane had to step in and post in big red letters that you shouldnt use those buttons to get into cwm.

so far teh only bug ive seen is people having issues with backing up data, some get it working fine, some get it after clearing cache, ithers just have issues with it overall. regardless thats one actual bug id consider worthwhile and there is NOTHING i can do about it.

same here, not installing it, dont want to get boot loop again and have to do the download mode to stock. just root for now, until its stable and can do full backup and restore.

Please read the post above. Unless you do something dumb, you will have absolutely no issues.

Oh, and, you don't need DL mode to get to stock.
