Where is the donate button for you sir on all the hard work you have been doing for us on this phone?
:congrats:

I have an unactivated factory reset elite if you need it I can cat the system partition to a .bin

Yes, please...

su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/system.img

also if you could check the md5 for it first and after copying it to make sure it's complete that would be nice...

busybox md5sum /dev/block/mmcblk0p12

busybox md5sum /sdcard/system.img

BTW.. does it have ZV5?

If not I may have the original IMG files I pulled a while ago. I'd have to go find them on my laptop.

Anyone notice that the main forum is becoming disorganized and cluttered with cwm topics? Once everything is finalized and a ROM is up,maybe get a mod to help clear up some topics and then consolidate all the info into one sticky. Users are posting cwm topics at random ( not that the info isn't valued but things are scattered to an extent). Much of it is due to the fast pace at which things have developed. Info is coming faster than can be kept up with. Not a bad thing. Its good actually, but does start to swamp you before you realize it. Just my outside observation. Chaos is a hell of a thing lol. ;)

After rummaging through a lot of ambiguous information, it seems this phone runs on an MSM8655 Qualcomm chip, clocked at 1Ghz. It has the same snapdragon S2 processor as is in the Droid Incredible 2, which is upgradeable to ICS, and runs at a higher resolution, for comparison.

This phone will run JB and/or CM10 just fine.

(it's up in the air with KLP tho =P)

If you install Qualcomm's own benchmarking app (Vellamo Mobile Benchmark), it says LGE MSM7x30 M3S.

I'd say whichever chip it is,its capable enough. the elite does have some good stuff under the hood. she's no ford pinto by any stretch.

Ktb,

Having a bit of issue with phone. It's one my brother gave me cause he dropped it and broke screen. Has been working other than that cause it's phone I used to help test gp's recovery. It's not cooperating at the moment

Well, if whoever needs this is willing to deal with anything that I may have changed on my system partition (I think I just have Holo Launcher set as a system app, but there may be other things as well which I can't recall at the moment), then I'll just upload a ZIP with that.

The java app doesn't have access to the cpu to ask it directly what type of cpu it is. It gets that information from /proc/cpuinfo. And /proc/pcuinfo gets that information from a hardcoded string that is decided by the kernel configuration at the time it is compiled. If you compile the kernel to thing it is running on a pink pony, the Qualcomm benchmark app will report it is running on a pink pony. :P This could be a case of a misconfigured kernel.

I want my phone running on rainbows and sunshine. Hook it up.

That's fine! :)
