Root CM10 progress Update Thread

I seem to be having a problem changing permissions on the system/app folder. Didn't have any problem before copying the MMS apk. I'm using ES3 and have root access. Any suggestions?
 
I use text plus a lot but if im on slimm+ ill get the pop ups and itll tell me when i get a text but when i flash cm10 it no longer works my phone wont viberate ring or anything from the app so ill have to open the app to even see if someone replied...any help?

**edit I fixed it just had to wipe data and re flash ROM and gapps easy fix
 
HUGE thanks to GTurn and dadcup for helping me through the MMS issue. You guys friggin rule!!! Love the tester 11 BTW. Daily driving it now lol
 
K. I am frustrated. What am I doing wrong? I can't get these permissions right.

I have tried root explorer and ES3. Both say permission denied. Read write and execute on owner. I don't understand what the problem is? I did it before when copy pasting the MMS APN on tested 10.
 
When I was pasting the mms fix there wasn't enough space left in the system/apps folder. I had to get rid of a couple things to be able to paste it there. (Stock browser and stock file explorer I think).Also if your using root explorer make sure u have it set as read/write not read only. After your done u can reinstall the browser as a user app if u want.
 
Will the next release have all of the fixes implemented + gapps then an OC Kernel for us Tolth ? x.x pwease

Android all together is google, seems a bit silly if gapps can't be included into a build from their software. As long as the credits are left in, it's not really copyright, now is it? Plus, it's not being sold for profit. You'd think it could be included like anything else.

Well yea but it aint too hard just to flash gapps...is it really that big of a problem? Lol
 
When I flashed CM10 teester 11, I had issues with root apps. Superuser and SuperSU. SuperSU's binary couldn't be updated, and I couldn't switch to Superuser.
