Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

Thanks guys... I originally tried System App Root Mover or whatever it's called from the play store, but even though it did move the app to system, I kept getting the black screen of death. I'm going to try this for a while and if it doesn't work I'll try the other methods.
I flashed ZV5 so that might have helped too. Fingers crossed.
 
Yeah, if this deep sleep issue doesn't get fixed in a day or two I may roll back to my stock backup. If it doesn't get fixed soon I'll try the ROM again when the issue is fixed.

Dude play with the setting try to find out what works for you , the deep sleep problem depends a lot on your ROM , if a fresh flash than you could possibly fix it with CPU set as system app , but if you dirty flashed than that might caused the problem

I have the CPUset apk installed as a system app, I still keep getting the black screen. I did a clean wipe from ZV5, This ROM is just plain buggy when it comes to the CPU states. It's annoying and I honestly don't want to deal with it till a proper fix happens.

I agree with you there... I am still having issues with my signal. I have no LTE, my signal is no longer stable and sometimes the phone will have a red x over the signal bars. This hasnt't happened until I flashed the 3/16 build of this cm12 rom. I reverted back to my zv5 stock rooted rom and all the signal issues are happening. Flashing this build (3/16) had to of caused it .. as I flashed the 2/25 biuld and when I reverted back to my zv5 rom everything was perfect with the lte and signal.

Yeah, did you use Flashify with the APN fix? Didn't work for me in Recovery.That's another issue for people for people with this build, seems like they messed with something that reset/changed the APN info.

so your saying to flash the apn fix in flashify? yes i used recovery to flash the fix, but I just dont understand what coulve caused this dang issue!
 
Just to let everyone know that flashing the boost apn fix in twrp recovery does NOT WORK!!!. TWRP will say it flashed it and reboot but,... the effects of the apn don't take place. So.. flash the apn with flashify and itl work.

I never had issues with deep sleep. HERE IS HOW I fixed them... i downloaded the setcpu apk and converted it into a system app using link2sd. then I rebooted and viola you have no more issues.
 
Just wondering if a camera fix is close? Tried every camera in the playstore and none can get the rear camera to work. Very nice though i hope this rom will get that issue fixed soon.
 
Also i took a gamble flashing the Moto Camera zip i found and still no luck. Wishful thinking it might work but the moto camera still has the same results as other cameras no rear but front camera works and moto gallery works lol
 
I converted the setCPU app as a system app in ROM toolbox pro, then flashed the boost apn fix in flashify. time will tell if the deep sleep is fixed but here are the results...

clean flash 3/16
Having a continuous wakelock of Google Play services of System Update service . It doesn't sleep but awake all the time . Havent installed CPUset till not . Checked with walelock detector .
Updated from 3/12 or 3/13 build . Didnt have it earlier , any pointers to it ?
 
Even with CPUset I was still experiencing Deep Sleep issues. Has anyone attempted to revert the kernel to one of the February builds to see if it's a kernel problem? I just reverted the phone back and am waiting to see if I get any deep sleep issues. I'll report back with my findings afterwards.

UPDATE: So normally, the phone goes into deep sleep after 10 minutes, after reverting the kernel I waited 10 minutes and so far it's working fine. I'll update tomorrow with more definite information.

Are there many games working with Lollipop yet? A lot of the games i enjoy (final fantasy series, etc.) still don't work with ART as far as i have been able to find out online..
 
More than a few do work with ART since they added the translator for dex2oat. I don't think it's that the games don't work, it's that it's possible people haven't tried them since the developer preview or the original versions of 5.0. I'd suggest trying them out, that said, there seems to be some video problems still with this ROM, so your mileage may vary.

NOTE: I can't speak for every game on this phone, as I use an LG G2 as my main device running 5.0.2, but almost everything I've tried works on it.

Where is this kernel? How do I do that? Sorry I keep posting but I want this ROM to work, gosh dangit. I've tried everything suggested so far, except reverting the kernel. I wasn't having this issue before the last couple versions, so I think reverting something is the key.
