Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

Where is this kernel? How do I do that? Sorry I keep posting but I want this ROM to work, gosh dangit. I've tried everything suggested so far, except reverting the kernel. I wasn't having this issue before the last couple versions, so I think reverting something is the key.
You can pull the boot.img from the last feb zip and flash it with Flashify, now mind you it does bring other problems back like no vibration or home button LED and I've had one random restart happen while it was in sleep, but otherwise stable.

I can't speak for LTE but I only had deep-sleep issues until I installed Cpuset and moved it to be a system app. Cpuset will eventually start failing unless you move it to be a system app. I clean-flashed 3/16 meaning I formatted absolutely everything except external before flashing.
Recipe:
*Cpuset must be successfully moved to be a system app or it will fail, repeatedly*
100% clean flash 3/16 CM12 w/TWRP Lollipop
(I used Pico GApps, probably doesn't matter)
1600 MHz (default)
interactive governor (default)
deadline scheduler (default)
Good luck! :-)

This is exactly what I've done several times: Wipe everything except external, flash ROM, flash APN fix, flash gapps, reboot, go through setup (should I be skipping that? Install Cpuset as a system app (alternating through various methods), and run it. Also tried installing it normally and running it, then moving it to system. Tried clearing cache and dalvik, even tried wiping system again... Cpuset has successfully been moved to be a system app every time, it just hasn't fixed the issue.
Right now I'm trying under clocking, and so far, no issues. It's just super slow. It leads me to believe it's the kernel. Maybe some phones can't handle the new kernel? I don't know.

I had done this as well, however it still failed to come out of deep sleep. I even tried installing SetCPU with screen on/off profiles doing the same thing while slightly increasing the processor clock while the screen is off in case it wasn't coming out of sleep because the clock was too low. But reverting the kernel using the boot.img in the last Feb build fixed the entire issue for me. However as I said in my previous post, it fixed that, but broke the LED and vibration again as expected. Since I use a G Watch, vibration being broken isn't a problem for me as the watch acts as an external vibration motor and I feel that it's an alright trade-off for it to not be hanging in sleep. :) Other than that, this ROM is incredible, works great with the exception of the kernel issues but even those are mostly minor (except the Sleep of Death ofc)

OK an update: under clocking didn't work either. I'm trying one last time, this time I made absolutely sure to wipe everything except for my external partition, then flashed the ROM, the APN fix, THEN gapps, then rebooted and skipped the setup. I then used the browser to find the link2sd apk online and already had cpuset, so I installed cpuset and did not open it, then enabled root and installed link2sd and opened that and used it to move cpuset to system. Then, restarted and let cpuset ask for root.
At this moment, I still have not set up my Google account or installed the change APN app. Everything is working so far. Haven't tried MMS but I do have LTE.

Update: what do you know, still getting the BSOD. I'm almost entirely convinced some phones just can't take the new kernel.

bad_MOFO_33, just a thought on Cpuset .apk: maybe it could be pre-inserted into the next ROM post as a system app. I've no issues with deep-sleep since moving Cpuset to be system app, but others seem to struggle with moving it to system successfully, etc. Seems like the easiest possible fix that wouldn't even require a rebuild--just a minor insertion into the 3/16 ROM system apps. Love the ROM, runs great for me--thanks! :-)

Hey guys, I did a dirty flash with 3/16 rom and everything works except stock mms. Stock camara works front and back, video saves also. If it helps anyone here's what I did for LTE, actually I get better signal now with this rom vs the stock vz5 rom. Ok after flashing rom and reboot I flahed the Universal apn setings zip. Downloaded the apn settings apk from play store its the green one with the two arrows. Changed the apns-conf.xml in etc folder from nul port to "0" on LTE line. From dialer *#*#4636#*#* go to phone settings top left change Band to 1900 turn radio off and back on again reboot. When it boots again it should display your carrier and also no sim. Hope it helps

Update 3/20/2015 : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934544190
Should fix the deepsleep problem.
But at a loss of vibration.
Also may fix or break some other things, not too sure...

Not updating OP yet until some feedback

Would be glad to try havent messed with cm12 since i installed Candy5 would be nice if you could implement the Candy Interface settings in cm12 and also will there be an update for the Candy Rom soon?

It's been a day sense I've had a BSOR(Black screen of rebooting) if it ever comes up again I think I'll try installing SuperSU with CPUset again. This time around I'll use Link2SD to convert to systemapp next time too.

I'm getting an "Authentication problem" error when trying to connect to wifi after flashing the latest update. Anyone else?

[edit] Never mind, re-flashed and it's working again. Now to see if the deep sleep problem has really been fixed...

I installed the 03/20 update deep sleep seems fixed but the lack of a rear camera pretty much kills this ROM for me. The camera fix for now is just an app that also doesn't work with rear camera. Also hangouts now has constant problems sending SMS have to retry many times before it finally sends. Otherwise THANKS its amazing to see this phone on lollipop and I hope to help with testing to fix the camera or messaging problems!
Edit: Upon further use YouTube vids max out at 360p and spotify crashes on start not sure if ROM related or just lollipop problems but these are apps people use daily :(

I'm on the 3/16 release, and haven't had any issues with spotify. did you wipe all internal data before flashing the ROM?

After uninstalling the app twice and rebooting it suddenly works fine. Not sure what happened. I've got my lte calls and texting working fine as well as viper. Now the only real issues are the very slow video playback issues (this phone played 1080p source twitch streams and now it can't handle anything more than medium) and the darn camera. Great rom otherwise.

Anyone try playing games with this Rom? I hear varying stories about compatibility with lollipop. When i tried this Rom a few weeks ago, i couldn't even install any of the final fantasy games I've bought

Spotify doesn't crash upon opening for me, but when I leave spotify for a while, it does crash occasionally, which can be annoying at times.
