Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

Hey badmofo why don't you create some accounts on the popular android get paid to download apps services like perk and cashpirate and post your referral links so maybe we can offer some incentive to update more often and support the development process kinda like donations. I can't really give much but I sure as hell know I can download an app or make an account. Just an idea. I would really love more frequent updates to this already great ROM and would love to support you idk if it breaks the rules of this forum tho. Also back camera isn't working on three Virgin models I have, I wonder if virgin specifically doesn't work.
 
Cm12 RearCam doesn't work on all carriers I've been hoping to see a screen of of it coming back into action. It will tho I'm sure -following cyanogenmod since the beginning these Devs are brilliant
 
is this dead now? It has been a couple of weeks with seemingly no comments from the developer. I really love this rom but of course with the small amount of bugs in it makes it a little hard to use so I was hoping maybe it would be updated sometime

no its not dead, I've just been busy. Started back to work, and rebuilding a motor. But just wiped my PC and fresh installed LinuxMint so should have an update soon (no promises though)...

ah I completely understand and thank you for your very quick reply. if you ever need any help with your computer I am a computer repair technician professional for 10 years now running my own business and would love to help you in any way I can sadly I am no good at roms so I wouldn't be much help there but if you would want some help and don't mind to quote train me without the use of text guides or YouTube videos you know like one on one on skype or something I am up for it.
 
There seems to be a problem with quickboot.

When Quick Boot is Enabled and I tap the Power Off Button, it goes into airplane mode and then says "Unfortunately, Quick Boot Has Stopped" And then the home button, Back button, and menu buttons stop working. I am forced to to do a hard shutdown. I flashed a package designed for CM12.1 that fixes/applies this feature and it works perfectly fine up until I plug it into the charger and then Power it off, in which the device gets stuck in a bootloop and I am forced to restore a backup from recovery

I think Quick Boot has to be built individually for each phone. I don't think it will be 100% working and polished for a while :(
 
After flashing cm12 I am not able to even get a 3g connection. I can use WiFi but when WiFi is off that exclamation point is present. How do I fix it so I can get a data signal. I have virgin mobile and it says my service is virgin mobile but I have not data connection. I can still send texts thoughm

Did you flash the newer APN fix on he 54th comments page? Did you select a network connection in settings>Mobile Network> APN's?

I now have 3g connection but no 4G connection. I guess 3g is better than nothing. I set preferred to 3g then set the app to VIrvin mobile ehrpd then all of a sudden I have 3g. Wish I could have 4G too
 
I had this ROM for a while and its not saving apps for default for example play store app for play.Google.com or browser apps and my gallery is not showing any pictures as of today

I've got a similar problem to yours. For some reason I'm not getting the ability to change my defaults for apps such as with viewing videos
 
What does this mean?
How can it be fixed?
Gallery not showing all pictures only SOME from camera and screenshots no WhastApp videos or pictures.

I can view pics in a file browser but if I ask for it to open in galley I get that error

Edit: after playing around, and deleting data/cache the gallery become empty

After taking screenshot and deleting it the gallery was empty and when opening the screenshot notification it said "no thumbnail "

How can I restore it?
(Deleting cache and data from gallery app didn't help. And cache from storage)

Edit: not sure what I did before but after a hard reboot it's fine, I usually only do soft reboot.

I think youtube got rid of it you can only see 360p or 720p and lower then 360p

edit: on some android devices because my computer i can still use 480p

Not sure if this was answered in the previous 56 pages, but I am having an issue installing this ROM.

Everything seemingly installs correctly in TWRP, but when I reboot I get an endless CM loadscreen. Any hints as to what I may be doing wrong?

First boot can take a long time.
But just make sure you are wiping everything except the SD card.
Try flashing the ROM by itself then reboot and flash gapps later, that will speed up the first boot

Thank for the quick response! I needed to re-wipe as there was still something sticking around apparently. Got it installed now.
 
hi guys. been running the 4/26 build (for boost) and everything is absolutely great save for still no front camera, 4G and voice mail notification has all but vanished. I'll go as far to say that this thing is buttery smooth and quick! thanks bad_mofo!
