Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

Tried all kernal editors. I've modified media files in etc folder. Nothing changed. I think stock apps for the LG volts original rom is the key to fixing several problems in cyanogenmod. They just need to be ported to 5.x and the configurations need to be changed. Otherwise I think it will work very well.

I'm not a developer but I have my shared experiences with editing code and stuff. I have a suggestion for the developer I am currently using your version of cyanogenmod. The Netflix on my boost Mobile lg volt isn't working and I was thinking try changing the codec. Also the lg volt stock from runs the NFC from two or three different apps with specific settings and system permissions. I think you should integrate those apps and setting somehow and you might get nfc capability.
I tryed every codec I could get my hands on. I don't think that is the answer. But if we don't try then we won't know, right?

Also how do I change the default volume. I feel like the maximum volume on this is low and I can't hear anything loud even on headphones.
/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml

Find <path name="speaker-lite"> and raise the value of <ctl name="RX3 Digital Volume" value="63" /> a tad bit until you're satisfied. Too high of a value and you'll blow your speaker or experience distortion. I'd go no higher than 75. Reboot for changes to take effect. You'll need root privileges to modify the file by the way.

Just a suggestion, I'd recommend these changes getting baked into the next and subsequent rom updates so everyone has a loud enough speaker.

Might be a dumb question every thing works great camera sleep, everything my data, I use 3g because where I live there's no lte for me but my charging I'm at 40% and it's saying 5 hours is this norm that's a long time

It looks like you didn't flash the APN fix, that is why you have so many options. If LTE isn't working switch to Sprint LTE internet, and change the APN to n.sprpre.ispsn and you should be good to go.

On virgin mobile without APN fix, it automatically chooses Sprint lte apn

I flashed it when I installed the ROM, and haven't made any changes. I'll see about reflashing. Details to follow...

There is a tut on yt on how to do it..

Wow, LTE worked right out of the box (after I changed the APN). If I flash the sprint apn fix, it stops working. So, yay for LTE.

Aside from using a different launcher, how do I change the app drawer back to the standard card type?

Edit: I switched to google's launcher. All better.

Scratch that, the cell data network drops and won't come back without constantly messing with the apns
