I went back to beta2. The sound works much better in the Beta2 build than the RC2 build. (Sound in RC2 was a bit garbly.)

Beta2 volume is still a little quiet.
But CM volume is normally a little quiet, as @Masterchief87 pointed out.

There's a quick fix for this.
Hopefully more than a patch.
I will post as soon as I try it out. ;)

A bank account is all you need to open a PayPal account. That's if you have a bank account? Its free & safe to use.its the best way to go.

you may have already disclosed this, but i would like to know which variant of the zmax you have? i am on rc2 and my sound is perfect... just loud enough.

ive had maybe 10 different phones rooted over the years and i have never seen wifi calling or hd calling on any custom rom that wasnt stock based. i think it has been pretty well established that this wont be possible without some source code from the carriers. i have yet to see one single aosp rom with either of these features. plz correct me if im wrong.
 
Developers long ago made this mod for all Sensation ROMs including stock AOSP and stock Sense ROMs. And I'm talking about WiFi calling :)

I will try to find that forum again

And yeah I noticed that after I posted it. And it was an app not a mod my bad. It was included in something called a whiskey ROM in one of the phones I can't remember the name. But it won't work on cm12 it was for like cm7

no new fixes, just wanted to consolidate everything into one zip, it has

red bull for default sensors (seems more people have these)
the newer kernel with less TS issues
the Netflix DRM files from XDA murdoch1
the SD permission fix from Masterchief87
build prop fix for video recording

I think this is gonna be it for a while, unless I get some free time, and make some major improvements or something.


At this point if Anyone wants to use this as a base ROM for you own project you have my permission to do so, as long as you credit me in your OP

well first off, yes you can use any of my stuff I release, just be sure to mention me, or I tend to get cranky

If you wanted to make a Pacman ROM the right way, you would need to have a Linux computer setup as an Android Build Computer, and then you would have all the PAC ROM sources downloaded and such

The next step would be to modify my device tree and kernel to work with the PAC source, which should not require to many changes

Then you would build the ROM


Now if you want to do a dirty port, which is just taking the ROM for the Moto G and switching out the kernel and just editing the build prop, it will most likely boot, and most stuff would probably work

When I build my ROM, here is the list of the files that I take from the ZMAX 444 ROM

So you may want to use those files as well to try and fix things


The things that you wont easily be able to fix, is stuff that is in the framework , you would have to decompile the files and edit and recompile them

there can be some many things that can be wrong, that I can not answer that question

here I played with PAC ROM a bit, wanted to see if it had same issues as CM12.1 and it did

but here is a PAC ROM build, that has all the latest fixes CM12.1 has

you or anyone else can do what ever you want with it, I really do not want to have to support it

like back in one of the previous builds we had the option under settings>buttons to change the action of the back button, home button, and menu button... but now it seems like it has been removed... was that intentional or??

currently have PAC ROM installed, wanted to make sure it was safe to flash
 
I have inadvertently acheived system r/w permissions while using this flashable zip to edit the build.prop

p.s. For what its worth, the reason I was editing build.prop was to enable the multi users again. Had it, and I don't know what happened, but somewhere along the lines it disappeared from Settings completely.
This addition to build.prop fixed the multiuser issue:

fw.max_users=3
fw.show_multiuserui=1

Edit: Just double checked to see if I still have r/w after reboot and yup, I sure do.

Edit: False alarm, I edited platform.XML to test it out, it worked temporarily as I had r/w permissions on my SD card. But the file reverted back after reboot :/
