Root CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5

there can be some many things that can be wrong, that I can not answer that question

here I played with PAC ROM a bit, wanted to see if it had same issues as CM12.1 and it did

but here is a PAC ROM build, that has all the latest fixes CM12.1 has

you or anyone else can do what ever you want with it, I really do not want to have to support it

This is awesome. I'm excited to give this a whirl. Any bugs I find I'll keep to myself unless you decide to support it in the future(if that never happens it's no big deal.) Thanks again and thanks for throwing my modified platform.xml in RC3! As always I'm very grateful for everything.

If you were already using rc2 you should be able to dirty flash without any issues. It doesn't have any new fixes he just rolled all the existing fixes into one zip so that people wouldn't get confused by having to flash 4 or 5 separate zips.
Oh OK thanks for clearing that up. By the way is anyone else having faster draining battery?

you may have already disclosed this, but i would like to know which variant of the zmax you have? i am on rc2 and my sound is perfect... just loud enough.

Thats weird.. I flashed rc2 twice and still no luck with the sound quality. I have the T-Mobile variant. I am very satisfied with beta2 anyway, it's damn near flawless. ;)

@hroark13 if you ever decide to update cm12.1 could you see about adding support for USB memory sticks? They currently work with Stick Mount by Chainfire but it would be nice if the rom natively supported them. As usual its completely up to you and I won't get butthurt if you decide to not do it.

idk if i did something wrong but when i flashed rc3 ontop of rc2, it worked fine booted and everything but my gapps went heywire and kept crashing
Yeah that happened whenever I would dirty flash too.. The only thing that fixed it for me was a fresh install. Wiping data, dalvik cache, and cache.

you can list the bugs, but I am not gonna address the, but I am curios what is wrong with it

if sound was better in beta2 it has to be a build.prop change I made

can you compare the two props, and then list the differences, and then we can figure out wich ones are audio related

The ROM formats the system partition so you still have to re-flash gapps after you flash the ROM. I forgot to mention that.
i tried that and it still kept crashing, so the only way to fix it was to wipe and start fresh
I tried that and it didn't work for me :/
Just the fresh install and clearing data. :(
I just dirty flashed the rom, gapps, and supersu2.46 without wiping anything and I haven't had any issues. I'd bet that re flashing gapps didn't fix your problem because you had already rebooted into android before rebooting into twrp and flashing gapps. I did it all in one shot which is provably why I didn't have problems.

Just wondering. The pacman ROM I just tried it and its good but i was wondering does it use the test kernel from cm12.1 and like the redbull sensor fix and the Netflix fix and stuff like that? Also I understand there different but wouldn't battery life be similar to cm12.1?

it has a the same fixes as RC3

Hey thanks for the reply hroark! :D

here are the differences on the two props
the one on the left is beta2, the one on the right is rc2

I figured these images would make it a little easier to see the changes:

so it looks like there are some prop setting there that you can change and test, if audio work better with those changes let me know and I will include them in next release, or we can make a zip to flash the new build prop, and I will put it in the OP
