Root CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5

Also guys i never flash gapps zip...i use blackmart apk for all my app needs..but since i already have the apps i need i dont see myself using it....im not a fan of google services,playstore,etc..too many security and license checks...in which causes my apps to fail and not work..lol....this rom finaly works with my custom scripts i run for data performance...like the
ip link set dev rmnet0 mtu 1500 ..etc..
using rom toolbox pro... scripter menu...
it sticks...yessss...so i must say im coming from the Mero pcs 4.4.4 ..variant....
i tested pretty much every aspect of this rom and Loving it now im getting use to lollipops ui and new functionabilities..
as long as busybox is installed and using the r/w zip and stay in r/w access till u need to flash anything .just create a widget on ur home screen called rebooter and when u want to simply reboot ur system just hit reboot recovery as ur reboot..and reboot as your recovery....u can modify alot for performance..one of the top 3 roms ived had the pleasure of runing..thanks to all...
theres option in settings to make reboot into recovery from power menu no need to install an app

Maybe this is old news but...

Just had a call in HD!! Woo hoo! :D

Although the HD logo wasn't displayed on my phone, it did show up on my brother's phone.

(We both have T-Mobile)

Happy 4th! ;)

did you do a factory wipe for RC5, and not restore data with TWRP ?
I did..
Everything is working great by the way.

Although sometimes I can send/receive MMS messages with both WiFi and (lte) data on, no issues. But then other times it seems like the messages get hung up or stuck, and when they do I toggle WiFi off for a sec and let them send or download. Idk, maybe it's just me...

(im on the T-Mobile variant zmax)

I am having the same issue. Most of the time, I can't send or receive MMS at all while on WiFi.

Is anyone else having issues with GPS? It takes quite some time to lock on and navigate to a destination. Rather troublesome when driving to unfamiliar places. I'd say it takes about 8-10 minutes before it locks on and, if missing turns, to redirect.

Hey @Masterchief87 aicp is on its way. I never found out if dirty unicorns is cm based but its practically imposible to find there source. I'm on a trip so I'm doing it over team viewer. So now I'm making aicp since it can run in the background we'll I try to fix aospa bootloop
Idk where to find their source but according to their rom threads Dirty Unicorns is aosp based with some caf patches so apparently it's mostly aosp with some cm stuff added.

Use Textra instead. It has an option to automatically turn off WiFi when sending/receiving MMS without manually switching WiFi on/off

Default RC5, no hacks or changes. When I'm in a middle of writing a text, and receive a phone call I have a lag. Usually by the third or fourth ring the "REJECT or ANSWER" will show up in the notification bar. By the next ring it's usually sending to voicemail. I've missed a few calls this way, and end up having to call people back. I'm wondering if anyone else has come a cross this or is it just my phone? Been thinking about reflashing but it seems pointless when everything else is working flawless.
I've had this a lot , and its been getting my girlfriend mad lately lol

Hey, @hroark13. I noticed the auto-brightness ramps up and down pretty rough. I made some changes to frameworks to hopefully make it more smooth. I don't have the build env. set up, so I can't test the changes myself. If someone could build a new zip or frameworks package, I'd really appreciate it. Here's the commit from my github:

https://github.com/ikarosdev/androi...mmit/11d3f57f23cd09f8576c45903a29f470268cf795

Code:

<integer-array name="config_autoBrightnessLevels">

15

100

150

300

900

1200

3000

5000

8000

</integer-array>

<integer-array name="config_autoBrightnessLcdBacklightValues">

30

50

70

100

150

200

250

255

just wanted to report that all of the LP ROMs are decreasing my battery life. after reverting to butternoob2 i can confirm this. i have seen people reporting better battery life but i dont see it.
I think some people like to THINK they get better battery life just because they LIKE to think upgrading ROMs just makes everything 'better'...

Very well done, sir! I love it. I really wish I wasn't unemployed :( otherwise I would of donate a bunch for sure but I'm on waiting so as soon I get employed I'll donate cause you deserve it. Good stuff! I really appreciate and respect your work.
