Root CM13 beta (Marshmallow 4 Volt) Q/A

Why can't you keep twrp???? And why or when is twrp bootlooping?
Everytime I boot to twrp from flashify if i dont flash/install any rom on twrp and just try restarting the phone or rebooting to system it will just load back up to twrp i cant get past it unless i install a new rom. Then after i install a new rom and reboot the system it will load up fine but then when i try to reboot to recovery twrp is no longer there and it will be they CM Recovery

Update: I was making a huge error as far as TWRP when i flashed it on Flashify I was flashing it as a boot image instead of a recovery image I solved that issue!! So always remember to flash TWRP to recovery flash not boot img

Has anyone solved the issue with the camera showing a green tint on the rear camera, but not foward facing(selfie) camera?

I need my phone for work to take pictures and this is going to be an issue..

Not unless you use stock or that one cm12 build that worked

One "fix" I found to eliminate the green tint on the LG Volt camera when using CM13 is to put my finger over the lens with the green screen showing. Hold for a few seconds. When the finger is removed the camera refocuses without the green tint. Seems to hold even if the phone is rebooted. Why ?

Wow weird that it is difficult to port for this phone considering it is just a smaller version of the LG G Pad7...so maybe that would be a good place to start?

Umm... I'm surprised this one is still active. sorry y'all. With recent events I don't have a volt to mess with. But I'm glad to see the insane progress going on.

Does this ROM pass the SafetyNet checks for Android Pay and Pokemon Go when unrooted? I'm considering switching from stock ROM to this if it passes SafetyNet when unrooted and the camera green tint is fixed/upon dissembling my phone I find that i have the good camera.

Why don't you just use opengapps?

Thanks andMego, I did and it is working great! I do have an issue still with the LTE setting. I tried several different options but I can not establish an 4G/LTE data connection, resulting in that no MMS messages can be send or received.
And with that I also get a strange message when I try to receive a picture in a text message. -"You may be able to download after inserting a SIM" - But my SIM card is already installed

Details...? Which Carrier?
That's really strange since I think I only get MMS on 3g and on 4g it doesn't go through.
Did you flash the proper APN settings?

Edit: I saw your posts in the other thread

For those that use Virgin Mobile, I have solved 2 issues!

1. Green Tint I came across the thread created by Ph0enix_216 he suggested swapping out the camera with a camera that has the numbers Y412G. I purchased mine on Ebay for $7.50 and swapped it out he has detailed instructions if you need them on how to do that. It works perfectly now no green tent and it focuses!

2.No LTE - While I had the phone apart I made checked to make sure that all of the wire connection were securely in place. I came across one wire that was not securely in place. I put the phone back together then wiped everything except the external storage on the phone after doing that I installed the CM 13.0 ROM the one with the date of 20160425 on the phone and wiped the Dalvik cache then restarted the phone one it booted up to the setup menu I then restarted the phone and held down the power button and the volume down button to boot back into TWRP I then installed GAPPS and the Universal_vmu_apnfix-vR2.zip together you can find this APN fix on the CM 12.1 thread ill leave a link below for all of these. After installing I wiped the Dalvik Cache again and booted up the phone. As soon as it booted up the service bar kept jumping around it then stabilized and when I got to the option that asks if you want to use Mobile Data it was showing Virgin Mobile as my carrier after that point the LTE Symbol appeared it was a little jumpy at first but after about a minute or two it was a solid LTE. I've been using the LTE now for 2 weeks and it works great! Sometimes when switching from WIFI to LTE it does not connect the fix for that is to put the phone on airplane mode and switch off the airplane mode and it works or you can restart the phone.

There are 3 issues I'm still having I am unable to record a video I have tried using different apps but have been unsuccessful I can not send a MMS and thirdly I can not move my apps onto the SD card I am looking for a fix for those 3 things. If you have any advice that would be great. if I can get those 3 things fixed I will have a fully functioning phone!

Surprised this isn't its own thread.
