Lock screen widget is ****. I resorted back to using an app named no lock. As far as I know, you can't change the font. Check the cyanogen wiki/forum though to make sure. I have noticed that respite the screen going black when I hit the power button or the light times out, the backlight remains on and wastes battery. Its hard to notice in daylight because the screen appears black. I will check to see if an app is causing this.
 
when I had BB 0,4 I had a different font.. I too would like a different font, but I can deal with the one on there for now
 
To me, all of the amazing features which no other ROM has, plus the speed - this may be the fastest ROM I've tried so far - and the smoothness, make this VERY IMPRESSIVE to use.

Only drawbacks I can see so far after a few days of using it are:

1. Battery Life is not good (but I knew that would be the case from my experiences with the other 2 release candidates). Luckily, to help compensate, the Power Widget comes in very handy... and is fully customizable.
2. Overheating. If I am running SetCPU maxed out and on Performance, my Droid overheats with just a fair amount of web browsing. And if I push it, it hits 135 degrees and reboots. Obviously, SetCPU should be set to 800Mhz or 600Mhz, which improves heat resistance.

Other than that, CM6 RC3 has removed any inclination (for now) for me to flash again!
 
Just flashed and having some problems with screen redraws and speed in general. I was thinking its adw and i wanted to uninstall it. My question is, if I uninstall it will it go back to the stock launcher? Also is there any specific way I'm supposed to uninstall adw or just uninstall like a standard app

ADW is the stock launcher for CM. If you don't have another launcher and uninstall ADW you're going to be left with no home. Sounds funny but I've definitely seen it before. Plus ADW is installed as a system app and can not be uninstalled like a regular app. You'd have to either use terminal emulator or adb to rm system/app or root explorer to delete the system/app file or titanium backup to uninstall system/app. And also before doing any of that you'd have to make sure to have another launcher app installed. Sounds like a lot but its not. Easiest way I think is to just download launcherpro for your launcher. Then get titanium backup and uninstall adw and youre good to go.
 
Thanks, I think it just took a few reboots to realize it has a slower startup than my previous Bugless Beast. Once its running I don't have any problems and its just as snappy. I guess I'll just leave it for awhile unless I have any major problems with it.
 
anyone else having problems with maps force closing?!?

edit: nm, got it to work... removed the included app via titanium then reinstalled thru the market. after reinstall i used fix permissions (used twice prior to installing through maps as I installed the gapps zip twice then used fix permissions on it twice to try to resolve the issue).
 
Initial setup

Flashing from Sapphire 1.0 after wiping boot, system, data and cache, initial boot took 3 minutes (with a VERY well done boot animation). Data and apps restored in 10 minutes with no issues

Performance

I opted to use ADWLauncher which is selected when downloading via ROM Manager. With the stock kernel it is incredibly smooth with no "stuttering" or lag when opening apps or flipping through home screens. I have not experienced one screen redraw in 4 days (more on this in the features discussion).

My current set up is with slayher's new 1.1ghz LV kernel with a new governor called "interactive". More information can be found here Froyo Kernels by slayher - CyanogenMod Forum . This is without a doubt the best ROM performance wise I have tried. Quick and smooth is the best way to describe it, it just feels like it was MADE for this phone.

Additional features

C'mon, this is cyanogenmod, you know there are going to be a ton of features! RC3 does not disappoint. Including video app (much like the stock music app), DSPManager (an audio equalizer app) to adjust your audio via a headset, the phones speakers, or a bluetooth device.

Additional call settings (built in blacklist, turn over to silence). The ability to move any app to your sd card. Lockscreen music controls, haptic feedback tweaks.

Performance tweaks. The best I have used is the "lock home in memory". I know home replacements (ADW and LP have this option, but it does not work as well). I have not had a single screen redraw.

Huge LED notification customizations for apps. Backlight tweaks, status bar and notification tweaks.

BUT, I have saved the best for last. The power control widget is completely customizable and has incredible features. Data disable, enabling wifi disables data, 2g/3g switch. This isn't even a fraction of the abilities it has. There are too many to list.

Overview

CM6 RC3 just works and works incredibly well. I highly recommend you try it with one of slayher's new kernels. Battery life is off the charts, especially with the ability to toggle data. I don't give the battery a second thought and go a whole day and put it on the charger at %80. The only draw back is the selection of themes, but that is because it is still a release candidate and not a finished product. When CM6 is finally released more themes will be ported.

I have been getting screen redraws with the option "lock home in memory" checked. I have uninstalled ADW and made launcher pro as my homescreen and still get redraws. They don't happen frequently enough to drive me insane, and I have learned to be patient... I don't think there is a way to escape them.
 
Is anyone having problems with Chrome to Phone with this ROM? It's not working with my phone, but if I flash to Lithium or Liquid, it works fine (and super fast now). I love using it for downloading ROMs/Kernels not in RM. FWIW, I use Firefox, not Chrome. Perhaps I'll download Chrome and see if it works with that.

Edit: Not working with Chrome either. Bummer.
 
this rom Works with Chrome to Phone (using Firefox) on my phone, but I also have the Watermark'd theme installed. it worked for me with the Original Kernel, Chevy ULV and P3 kernels
 
Hmm, I'm nearly on the same setup (Chevy LV 1.2 and WM'd). Also, it won't even allow me to uninstall and reinstall C2P as it's likely a system app. (I suppose I could go into Root Explorer and delete it there though)

When browsing the Internet with CM6 RC3 the text does not resize to fit the screen as in other ROMs. I understand there is an option in settings For Webview>Reflow after pinch in but I cannot see where it makes any difference. I have tried the stock browser as well as xScope full version, and this is the only ROM I've ever had this problem with. Too bad, it's almost enough to make one switch ROMs, but I really like this on with the REVOlution theme.

Anyone else having this problem or have a solution? Thanks in advance.

did you have the issue before you installed the theme? Could be a problem with the font the theme installed or something like that

That's a good point, but I didn't think to try the internet before the theme. I installed them at the same time.

wow, wish I could say the same.. 3 calls total of maybe 20min and my battery is at 70% been off charger fro 8 hours..

I have Chevy's ULV on the phone on Friday, but had 2 FCs for gmail, no issues prior, I tried P3s until this AM.. after 2 calls and 20% loss I switched to Chevy's LV kernel, see how that works. the ROm is close to the way I had it with BB 0.4 but it seemed I got better life from BB
