Root Cm7 2.3.4 and multitouch

I am from China. I'm glad to have the chance to communicate with you.
Fist of all, my English is poor and I am studying in college.
I am the user of Ascend which is called C8600 in China.
Ascend is the first android device I bought last year, and I really want to make the best use of it. Now,many users of Ascend in China download cm7 2.3.4. It is fantastic that so many users want to use it. Some great guys translate it into Chinese, but the Radio signal is not as good as it was froyo2.2 and 2.1. The most important thing is that cm7 2.3.4 use more power of the battery.
Do you have the same problems???

Multitouch is possible, but I don't know whether it will come true.

Welcome!!! Battery life was better on my Ascend with CM7 than stock.

Unfortunately here in the states multitouch will never be for most ascend users. The C8600 you all have in China by what I read comes with the screen than supports MT. Not the case here in the states, a handful at best has the correct screen n thus never will have MT.

My English is poor,so I have to break off now and then to consult a electronic dictionary(actually,it is HTC XV6800)
From google, I know the hardware is almost the same.
Multitouch which is tested by some guys is not released.
The hardware of my c8600 touchscreen is synaptics-rmi.
I don't know whether it is the same to yours.

I really want to know the hardware of your Ascend. Because from google, I know your cpu is msm7627, your ram is 256MB and your rom is 512MB.
(I am not sure)
However, the cpu of my c8600 is msm7625, which is maybe one reason of the bad battery life of cm7 2.3.4

sad to say that our m860 has no multi support cause there are different screens in each ascend.

What such a bad news! How could you even buy one now, there are much more better choices for you. The new ZTE N880 and HUAWEI C8800 are greater than C8600.
But as a user has almost 1 year experience, I'll tell you where to update.
The change of some key hardware make c8600 has two version roms.
One is before March, the other is after March. As you bought one now, so you can be the other version.
But, to make sure, you should learn these websites I advise.
Android 2.3 cm7 is a good choice, and it is English(But some functions may have bugs in C8600)
