Root cm7 howto

I'm not sure why you want to download that ROM. It ain't the best. Go here http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...tory-reset-your-rooted-phone.html#post3263770 check out the BACKside and all the rest of the ROM's in the gitthub. All the ROM's compiled after November have everything working and won't give you a black screen if you have a 2.2.2 OS with the Hitachi screen. The ROM you posted I don't think is compatible with a Hitachi screen. Instructions are in there as well. Some members can go 864MHz-480MHz on the CPU speed.
 
That's an old aosop Rom isn't it. (Can't remember the spelling) that has been abandoned long ago last update was that date of march and there were still alot of things not working.
 
Zefie's is the grandaddy of all CM builds on the OV, it's what aospbot forked, and what Blarf forked in the begining, and some of it all was forked form mik9.

Didn't mean to sound disrespectful. I'm very appreciative of all the work that came before IHO, and BACKside. Just trying to steer the member to a ROM that wouldn't leave them with a black screen and they would enjoy a whole lot more.
 
so ive been trying to do some other roms includeing back side a over clocking kernel [picasticks] and a 2.3 or somthing but every time afte instaling rom [following provided instrucktions] it gets to the load screen for the rom [animated] then freezes idk why please help
