and its coming along i have gotten it to boot on a SDK virtual device and i am working on packing the boot.img into the real rom then i am gonna have to compile and PRAY to god my laptop and handle it and still function then i gotta zip it up and pray it works HAHA

Is this thread dead? Holy smokes everyone is so enthralled with the GB OTA I guess. Still rocking my nightlies!
 
I have my moved on a sense 3.0 rom and loving it... And I am also working on my own asop rom with a HUGE new concept for The kernel although I don't know if I am gonna put into a gb rom or wite until the ICS source code is released upon the masses
 
from what i know cm7 is slowing down and the cm team is working on new devices and trying to get a hold of the ICS source code before it is released and if they do hen you can expect some early early early alpha builds from CM
 
According to a post on Reddit, the CM7 Kernel Repository was hacked. The last few weeks have been spent making sure no one's code was compromised.
 
Build 200 OS butter. Maybe cos I finally moved some apps to sd. Now data/data is at 100 and not 30 is the reason.
 
lol yeah J that could be it ... i am thinking about giving cm7 another go to just switch stuff around again i have been running sense 3.5 and i am loving it anf the battery life is ungodly amazing
 
Was nightly 212 a gag? I did a fresh install yesterday and suddenly my notification sound was overridden by a clip of a funeral bell and a wagon on cobbles...reminded me of the "bring out your dead" scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. :eek:

Couldn't find the clip anywhere in the usual audio folders, and I had not installed any new apps that I recall, just restored old ones. Flashing 214 over top of it seems to have fixed the problem.

Edited to add: Found it! It was one of the audio clips for Assassin's Creed. I have no idea how it ended up overriding my selected notification sounds. Weird.

Was that directed to me? If my problem was mentioned on other forums I'd appreciate a link, since a couple days of searching didn't reveal anything useful (although perhaps my search was too specific, since it now looks like it could have just as easily been any audio clip off my card). Failing other reports, I'd just be inclined to chalk it up to "one of those things".

And I certainly hope CM7 isn't going anywhere; I understood the Samsung thing wasn't going to make a difference. But I did wonder for a moment if someone there was playing a prank on account of the rumors. ;)

And yes expect. Cm7 to have development stopped Nov December time frame because of the ICS being released not sure if it will be 7.1 or cm8

That's OK then, as long as the cornucopia of good things that is Cyanogenmod keeps cranking 'em out.

Xda is too big for me to keep up with on a regular basis, and I'm afwaid to ask questions there. ;)
