Root CM7 Nightlies

I thought lashing a different kernel would break these builds? Was that fixed?

I've had great success with Invisiblek #28 with this ROM. I was using SetCPU also before flashing the new kernel and battery life was okay. Now when I get home after 9 hours without a charge, I'm around 75%.

do you get usb tethering on invsi 28 man???
thats whats stopping from switching kernels i need my tether

I'm thinking tethering is a no go. I did lose USB mounting, but the increase in battery life was worth it for me. In build #13 I can't sync my Gmail with the email app so I am using the Gmail app for that now. I'm able to deal with minor losses in functionality, but others may not be so forgiving.

Yeah thats a deal breaker for me ill wait till slayher and invsi GB kernel come out ... Its in beta now on xda

I put #13 on last night, and the only thing I noticed was Pandora and Music from SD card would skip to the next song and then Pandora would say I couldn't skip anymore songs, when I didn't skip any in the first place. I flashed back to #12 and it was better but still seemed flawed. I reinstalled Pandora and now I don't see the issue.

I messed around with a lot of my apps and haven't run into any issues with it so far. Running very smoothly. I do need to recharge, so about to hook it up and see how long it takes. #13 seemed to charge a bit slower than #12, but it's not like I stare at it seeing how long it will take.

Interesting thing:
Turned on the phone and checked the battery gauge at 76%. Ran a partial titanium backup for newer apps, checked out this website, checked out xda, read the cyanmod ferrite and the battery is still at 76%. I think something is broken.

What profiles are you using? Actually, which kernel are you on, that would make a difference in profiles. I have Alpha v4 so it gives me smartass governor but I don't have a profile yet.
What I usually do is run the new nightly and test it for a day. If I like it I nandroid and delete the old one. This way if I don't like the new nightly I can nandroid back without losing any settings or data. Pain in the ass but it keeps me out of trouble.

Still on Build 12 getting right around 20hrs of moderate use still with Invisiblek #18 and the following profiles

844mhz Max / 422mhz min smartass

Screen off 384 max/ 235 min powersave
temp > 48.1 C 691 max / 245 min powersave
Battery < 25% 691max / 245 min powersave

Battery < 25% 691max / 245 min powersave

These settings are pointless. Whenever you choose Power Save, it locks in the min speed. If you want it to actually use the specified range, but lean more towards power saving, use conservative.

couldent have said it better my self the powersave turns the clocking all the way down to min so the range is pointless

same issues with #15, steer clear of it of this build. That might be the only time I will ever say to not use anything CM related. Hey $hit happens though.

DO NOT FLASH NIGHTLY BUILD 15!!!

It has a MAJOR bug: cannot make or receive calls (force close of phone app).

Confirmed by multiple users (myself included after a full wipe).

Flashed it, rebooted, then got your message. Hooray for backing up ROMs!

hey guys has anyone had any trouble with there usb tethering on builds 12 and 14... i plug in my phone and turn on usb drive and it sees my emmc: but not my sd card... can anyone conform or is my sd card biting the dust

zzzzzz that site has the slowest DL rate. Took my 25 minutes to download #16. Flashed it over #13 and seems to work nicely.
