Root CM7 Nightlies

blah i dont see it worth the hassle because i have i use the batt mods and flashing it through rom mgr just auto restarts your phone and then that is just more more extra step i have to do instead of flashing it all at the same time if i do it my self
 
I have had a few random reboots with some of the nightlies, im running 26 right now, and i dont think i have seen one yet

I haven't been able to get fb push notifications to work since i started using the CM7 nightlies, i think fb did release around the same time though, so it could be them as well. Anyone else seeing this problem?
 
facebook push notifications have never worked for me, my friend who has an slcd has always gotten them since she bought the phone about a month ago. I have an amoled and no push for me. Don't think screen type has anything to do with it, but facebook push has been know to come in on some peoples phones and not on others. its not your phone or anything you or CM7 has done, it is definitely on the facebook end.

And omg guys I am on the beta kernel amd my phone has been unpluged with mod use for 5 hours and I am at 84% batt life
 
Facebook for Android is CRAP , I can't understand why they have such a better app for iphone and even the blackberry version but Android is so far behind . Facebook needs to step up there game on there software development
 
wasn't planning on flashing anything else till the weekend unless 25 starts rebooting or freezing on me(only done it twice now), will have to try out this new kernel then.
 
has anyone had an issue with the dock bar just disapearing ??

It might be an ADW issue but I can't figure it out

It's a feature in ADW. If you swipe up on the dock it disappears, and then swipe down where the bar should be and it reappears.

I agree with you on that one, such a disappointing app. I find myself using the mobile version of the site more than the app itself.

I have to disagree with both of you. Albeit I used Facebook only on a curve, it wasn't near the the experience on android. As for the mobile version, I only get to see updates from a few hours ago whereas the app seems more current with friends' posts.

No FC's on my end with #29

Have you guys had any trouble with delays with the SD scanning at boot up? It didn't take but a couple of seconds up until around build #22, now it takes about a minute.
 
I'm loving CM7. Flashed #27 yesterday and had no problems with the exception of one. I use the ESPN radio app on a regular basis and it doesn't seem to work with any CM7 build I've tried. I haven't had any problems with it on CM6 so I'm assuming it's an android 2.3 error and not an error with CM7. I emailed the espn developers and they said they couldn't help since android 2.3 wasn't supported on my device. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues with ESPN radio on CM7.

TuneIn Radio works with CM7 no issues. I get the local ESPN station :-)

Flashed #30 today and just checked out TuneIn. Not only do I get ESPN local radio, but I also get the all of my favorite local channels from Atlanta which I moved away from 2 years ago. I still would like the ESPN app to work but this will be fine for now. Thanks. Now all I need is 720p recording and battery percentage in the notification bar and it will be perfect.

Not sure on 720p, but the battery mod won't be included in a package until RC1. These nightly builds are for testing the reintegration of CM features slowly, and are not official builds.

In the meantime, Matt is posting his nightly battery mod over in the XDA thread.

Yeah I understand they are experimental, just saying those are the things in the nightlies that i've gotten used to in cm6 and haven't seen yet. It's still an excellent rom.
 
I have a question about wifi tethering. Does the built in app need the Verizon tethering plan? It opens when ever I use Wireless Tether and I can't figure out if I can use it standalone without the tethering plan.
