Root CM7 Random Issue Thread

I've tried going into the market to use Rom Mod but when I try to get the zip file to boot my phone gets stuck on the white huawei screen, amd if I try to hit vol up, talk, and press the on/off button nothing happens. I've tried searching through the forums to see if I could come up with a solution(loving the ultimate guide) but I'm at a loss. Thanks in advance, you guys are great and we come here anytime we wanna know something about our phones. I'm feeling rather broken at the moment<3 Running in Dino days with XP still...

Hello, and welcome to the forums. You could use a card reader to put CM7 on the SD card from your computer, then put it back in your phone, or you can download CM7 straight to your phone from the wiki on your phones browser. (I recommend doing it that way rather than getting it from ROM Manager, since a lot of people seem to get bad downloads from RM.

Hi thanks so much, we actually managed to get CM7 today, we were having a problem getting clockwork recovery on the phone. So Yay!!! tackled that part.... Now I just need to figure out what happened to my usb... any suggestions???

either these options will follow your problem:

1.Your phone can not process that speed of at 710 MHz, it resets when your phone can not handle it.

2.Did you check the option of "Set at Boot", if you didn't then check it and it will always be on
 
Can we post CM7 related questions in the "Random CM7" post? It keeps the forum clean and puts all CM7 questions in one post with the answers which make it easier for others that may have the same problem to find the answer and keeps Nuttmeg from having to move the thread and make it difficult for you to retrieve the answers. Thanks.
 
i got a question why did my mms stop working i am on CM7.2 and when i forced the prl to 3024 my mms stopped working for some reason nd i did flash metro off 1.3 before doing anything else
 
I have had cm7 for a while. Now my phone freezes at home screen, then restarting. It never stops. I put my phone back to stock but I want r he cm7 back on my phone. I tried putring it back on and t he same rhing happened again. Where did I go wrong.
 
I have the current build (CM7 09132011). My phone seems to be constantly laggy. It always seems to be trying really hard to work. I usually get a lot of FC windows regarding a number of apps. The whole phone seems bogged down. Also, I sometimes and sometimes not get text messages. Also, someone will call me or I will call them and I will not be able to hear them. Usually shutting on and off the phone does the trick on that (but usually I get the random phone reboot (which I know is an o/c issue)).

Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

First step= get rid of Kmod all together and never use it again. Step two= try one of the new builds(IMO 9132011). If you still can't flash the metrooff mms fix. Its a zip you can find on playfulgod's wiki. Step three= thank playfulgod for his awesome rom. Maybe even donate to him ; ) . Step four= mms your heart out and enjoy your new rom.
 
Not sure why this is happening pictures were sending after flashing metrof. Have split messages over 160 split enabled.
 
Before I rooted the phone, I had not problem using any QR scanner with the phone, but now, I cannot get any of them to work and then if I try to use my phone after trying to use one of these apps, my camera stops working and I have to reboot. I have downloaded almost all the free ones, is there one that works with CM7 best. I really want to use this app, I have some QR codes that I want to scan to get some free stuff.

Camera apps will not work for the ROM of any build from CM7 .
But it'll work for the stock ROM and CM6 (2.2.1 based )

That stinks, I do not want to flash cm6, or the stock rom, really like cm7. Guess I don't need the QR scanner. Maybe that will get fixed or someone can come with some workaround with it.

Hopefully will but the developers are not trying to fix that problem, like right now that's at the bottom of the list sadly
