Root CM7 RC4 Is Out

Did you wipe everything before flashing or just dalvik-cache? I would try a full wipe and flash it. Maybe something is sticking around that is causing issues.

I'm gonna try it that way and see what happens. I'm hoping I don't run into an issue where I have to do the gps fix from a sense rom. That is such a pain. Lol.

That did the trick. And everything is working fine. I find it a bit more smoother than RC2. And I didn't have to do the gps fix for it. Thank goodness!! Lol. Thanks for your help. Gonna mess around some more with this rom.

You're welcome. I like CM7 so far in all the releases....RC3 seemed to have a few issues for me but that might have been a kernel thing. I am running Kings GB R2 which is CM7 based and I like it.
 
Has anyone else seen the boot loops / bricked phones that have come from cm7??? idk i feel that im not going to even mess with cm7 until a stable one comes out... Do i seem to over dramatic about it?
 
I havent used a CM since i first rooted, then i had problems with VVM so i bailed on it and went back to sense. Recently i have been running Kings GB, but there were some issues i was having with calls being hing up on.
Anyway, I'm going to try out the CM7 RC4, Are there any major issues with it?

That seems easy enough, how about VVM? it's the only sprint app I use but I do prefer it over google voice. I know there was an issue with it on Kings GB, I had to find a copy of the latest version apk, then make a back up of the working version in Titanium and restore it in GB, That's obviously an edited version....

only way i knew was using sprint nav. it would work, ie show route, but the map didnt move while i was driving. i also have a speedometer app from the market that i use sometimes for heads up display to impress those icrap users. it wasnt keeping my speed....it just always said 0

How-To Reinstall Your Sprint Visual VM under CM7!!! - xda-developers

Just a reference for everyone having issues w/ sprint vvm and don't know how to correct it.
 
I actually got the VVM working using that same method, on Kings GB and again on CM7

I also just tested 4G, works great, granted i never use it it's good to know its there and works.

I'm in the process of doing the GPS fix, dont know if i need it but thought it wouldnt hurt.
 
What is the random reboot issue? Are you talking about the continuous bootloops where you can't even get into recovery?
 
Wiped everything twice. Phone is working just fine except it has rebooted itself twice already when it was just sitting on the couch. I will try a reflash tomorrow.
 
Ok, has anyone had the problem with the email notification not shutting off when you want it to? I had this problem with RC2 until a nightly update came out and fixed it. Every time I set the email to not notify me, it resets itself to notify every 15 minutes. Is there a fix for this?
 
Ive got an odd one with rc2, every once in a while the buttons on the bottom (the app launcher, phone button, browser) just randomly disappear... other than that it seems to be working quite well for me. Any ideas on that disappearing button bar thing(sorry, i have no idea what its actually called)
