Root computer not recognizing phone running mik3d RC1

last night my phone wouldnt charge, tried numerous chargers, one worked if i pushed it in hard and held it. decided i needed to take it into have it serviced since the charging port was obviously bad. downloaded the files to unroot and plugged my phone into my computer (expecting the computer not to recognize it OR charge it because the charging port is bad) but to my surprise it started charging right up no problem, but my computer doesnt recognize it when i switch to disk drive. running mik3d rc1, not sure what to try.....

i have the same issue with the port as well. try rebooting your computer. or do you have a card reader? you can even download the files directly to your phone.

edit:what frenchy said as well.
 
just wiped and still wont recognize the phone.......may not be related at all, but now my usb ports on my computer arent recognizing my wireless mouse either....right before i left the house this morning when it still wouldnt charge i sprayed some electrical contact cleaner in the port......now my computer is charging it but not recognizing the sd card, and after right after plugging my phone into my computer my wireless mouse stopped working on either of the 2 usb ports, but both usb ports charge my phone....gonna head home and see if the wall chargers work now
 
computer isnt charging it anymore and as soon as i plug it into the computer my other usb port stops working (aka my usb hub that powers my mouse and keyboard for my laptop) really weird....
 
Have you tried plugging the phone into another computer? It could be an issue with your computer and its hub. Does the phone charge if you plug it into the wall?

I would try these before taking it to sprint. If they boot it up at the store they could refuse to replace or fix it even with insurance.
 
Good since it wont turn on they should see about replacing it if you have insurance on it. Still will cost you a $100 dollars though :(
 
Sounds to me like either the port on the phone or the usb cord has a short. Try a different cable if you have one. Windows will shut down the usb ports if it detects a problem. If the different cable dont fix it then id say its the phone.
 
ive tried 2 different usb cables and 4 different wall chargers.....deff not paying $100 to have it fixed im waiting for the galaxy nexus just need this to last me another month till it comes out
 
I wonder if it is the charging system of the phone that is messed up or if it is the battery itself?
 
as bazaar as this sounds my girlfriends palm pre charger not only works for charging the device but my computer also recognizes my phone as a disk drive and charges it with this ONE cable.....wtf???
