Root condemned cm7

Didn't you post a script on xda that disables the 3g and phone radios as well?

Yes sir I did... The thread can be found here along with the script and instructions for using it. [Script] WiFi Only (great for inactive devices) - xda-developers Once I get some time soon I'm going to try doing it a little different so that it can be done in an init.d script but I haven't had the time to play more with it yet. With my new position at work I should be able to start having more free time soon to play more. Gotta get settled in there first though... then I won't have to work so many insane hours :D

metlcat, what's the verdict on the Nexus? (I noticed your profile.) :)

I'm in love. Already unlocked and rooted. I'll still play with my Eris here and there, and I'll definitely flash the last version of this ROM. I'll try out the script CS linked to after my finals are over next week.

I got my Galaxy Nexus and absolutely LOVE it!!! It was certainly worth waiting for and I'd say it's all it's cracked up to be (and then some). :)

I wanted to post a special little "Thank you" here to you guys (Bobcat331, Scotty, doogald, metlcat, tproctor, especially Condemned Soul, and the rest of you) who have spent time hanging out here and helping each other out as this awesome ROM has evolved).

It seems we're all going our separate ways, to some degree, now that we're taking on bigger and better devices. Though I'm sure we'll still bump into each other from time to time in other threads.

I plan to hang onto my little Eris and I still have uses for it. It probably won't be quite the same around here since we're all getting to the point where our Eris is no longer our primary phone. :(

It's been a good ride! :)

as reported earlier, my eris was rebooting while using bluetooth or maps/navigation. Lately, it's been rebooting even during calls (with no bluetooth or maps running) :(
I know you guys are moving on to bigger and better phones but this is still my primary and only phone and I love the CS ROM, it's just that lately it's been dying on me. I haven't changed anything on it, other than the automatic ROM manager updates, wonder if that's causing any trouble.

Tis true most of us have moved on to bigger and better phones but never fear my friend i'm always here.

Ps: I never used Rom manager on my eris.

Something that worked for me when I had similar problems was uninstalling apps until it stopped rebooting. If you don't have very many, this may not be the problem. If you do, it's worth a try. Apparently, there's a point when too many apps causes the Eris to become unstable.

I hope that helps.

thanks guys!
Well, I can definitely try removing some apps, let's start with ROM Manager, what is it? Do I really need it? I also want to remove GO Launcher that came with the CS ROM v.21 but don't know how to get rid of it.

I don't use ROM manager either. You can remove them both with ti backup just make sure you have another launcher installed before removing go launcher.

I just rooted my phone a couple of days ago and did not realize I was putting an older version (V19) on my phone. It has worked wonders as far as lag time goes (thanks CS), my question is should I go ahead and put V22 on my eris and if I should is there a thread that tells me how to do that.

Thanks

If you want to put V22 on, download it and place it on the top of the SD card (where you put V19 while rooting). Boot into recovery. Make a Nand backup. Probably need to do a full wipe along with with Dalvik cache. Then flash V22 and it will tell you when to reboot.

Thanks, I may go ahead and do that, I do not know if there is much difference but I might as well have the newest version since I am just switching over.

after considering keeping eris with CS ROM, i jumped on rezound and boy do i regret it!
Even though it's fast but loaded with bloatware and using gingerbread, it feels like I'm using old technology
