Root condemned cm7

That looks pretty cool! Any performance updates?

Just pushed the next SystemUI test to the Eris... looks like it's about right where I want it now :D

I'm making a few adjustments to sysctrl and a couple of the init.d scripts and I've been thinking for a couple weeks now of switching to go launcher... think I might do that too.. It's definitely smooth and very customisable. The latest update on ICS Launcher is pretty nice too but I think Go has become my favorite behind ADW EX.

***Changed as of V21.***
*Removed ADW launcher and replaced with Go Launcher.
*New Boot animation
*Removed 3d gallery and replaced with Quick Pic.
*Roboto font from ICS
*Modified and added a few more tweaks.... :D
*Added some blue theming

If coming from V20 Dalvik and cache wipe only "should be" fine. Anything else will need full wipe.

Condemned CM7 V21 - Vanilla

Condemned CM7 V21 - Stripped 2 Hell - This version has a lot removed from it such as foreign fonts, over half of the ringtones, DPSManager, CM Wallpapers, and a lot of other things.

Definitely sweet!! V21 seems so much faster and better than v20. Thanks for the work that you put in to developing these roms!! I'm kind of waiting to see what phone you go to next before I upgrade!

Rezound for me and hopefully that's what CS goes with,:)

I like the Rezound, but I'm interested to see the Nexus and compare the two.

Is there any way to change the drop down notification screen? I can't seem to find it. The clear with the light blue is hard to see.

Recently, the maximum VM Heap Size has been raised from 32M (default) to 48M. Is anyone familiar with the difference is performance/functionality-wise between the two settings for this particular ROM on the Eris? Which is the better way to go and what are the pros/cons of each?

I think the drop-down effect is cool but the text is hard to read. Perhaps a different color for the text might help it stand out better...

Anyone know what the optimum performance settings are for v21?

I'm gonna answer my own question this time. I've been experimenting with different settings and I seem to get the most consistently stable/smooth results from:

Compcache RAM Usage - 18% (default)

JIT - Off

VM heap size - 48m

I hope that helps someone. :)

I'll be posting a zip you can flash for a more stock pulldown and one for a different font color soon as my internet gets turned back on.

The only color I wish were a little different is the light gray on the black or blue background. If it were lightened slightly, it would probably work well.

For example, everything that is the color of the signal strength bars is a bit hard to see. However, if you look at the Wi-Fi indicator right next to it, the slightly lighter color is easy to see. My suggestion is to make that darkish grey a bit lighter. I think that's all it would take. I hope that helps.

Just curious, how many megs of ram do most people have when running cm7. My eris is acting like it's starved for memory. At any give time, my settings show available RAM as ~20 megs, yet I see post of people pushing 50-70 megs.

Example: If I haven't used made a phone call for a while and open the dialer, it takes 2 complete seconds for it to load and another 2 complete seconds to register the first number of the number I'm calling... is this normal or am I just expecting too much from this little processor?

Also, when my alarm goes off in the morning, I can hear the alarm sound skipping... again as if it has to load the sound/alarm function.

Recently clean wipe/dalvik official cm7 2.3.7, LP pro launcher, JIT ON, 710 mhz cpu, compcache disabled.

Thoughts/comments?

I had the same problem (20m's) but, after setting it as follows, I'm now in the 40m-50m's!

Compcache RAM Usage - Disabled

JIT - Off

VM heap size - 48m

I also uninstalled LauncherPro and am now using Go Launcher EX (the default launcher CS added to V21). It's much more versatile anyway.

Give it a try and let me know if it helps!
