Root condemned cm7

I have them too if anyone is interested. I also have an sdk version of ics I'm playing around with. Haven't gotten it to boot on Eris yet but if I do it'll be fun to play with. Given its an sdk though touch screen wont work. Lol

If you get ICS running on the Eris, I'll definitely test it out for you once I upgrade. I plan on keeping the Eris around for playing.:D

The 3.5 ROM looks pretty cool. Things have certainly changed in Sense.

There was an update to ICS launcher if anyone here is still using it. It's more like what ICS actually looks like. The update is available in the market.

V20 is the best version of CCM7 I have flashed, for my standards anyway. It is definitely the most stable version I have used on my phone.

I plan on making a donation to CondemnedSoul for his efforts. He doesn't have to continue to support the Eris but many like me really appreciate his sacrifices.

I have noticed something quirky about each version I've flashed since finding out about CCM7 (I've started with V14 :)). Whenever my battery has rundown (I rarely let that happen, even unintentionally), or the rom hangs requiring a reboot, I run into major issues.

The main issue I encounter is launcher enters a reboot loop. This was really true when CS was using the ADW launcher. I have cleared the Dalvik Cache each time and even reflashed the rom. None of these solved the problem.

Generally, I have to do a full wipe and flash the rom. Of course I have to reinstall my apps from backup (THANK YOU TITANIUM BACKUP!!!).

I also have this issue occur when I power off my phone and restart it. Again, I must do a full wipe, flash and restore of apps.

Anyone else have this type of problem with using CCM7 on an Eris?

I've never encountered this issue neither..... I'd try doogalds suggestion of giving c 2c a try. I can't post a link to the thread for it atm because I'm on my phone so maybe someone can help out and post one? If not I will when I get home.

By the way, I have had the endless boot loop issue. It was apparently caused by having too many apps installed. As long as I kept them to a minimum, it worked fine, which explains why a wipe helps. If you keep adding them, you will eventually trigger what you were describing.

Like the others have said, cache2cache will buy you the ability to have a few more apps before getting to that point but, if you keep adding them, you will eventually get back to the same issue.

I hope that helps!

thanks for the replies. Last week I did add cache2cache and it did improve my performance.

I had not thought about too many apps installed. According to my Titanium Backup stats, I have 78 system apps and 57 user apps. Of these apps I have installed, I've moved 45 to the SD Card (I know that a portion of the apps remain on the phone, so technically, only a portion of the app is on the card).

Using c2c, I have free ram of about 85mb! This is great as long as I don't let my battery run down, or power off the phone.

Anyone have good SetCpu setting recommendations for working with this ROM?

I'm looking for stability, speed and multi-tasking (usually audio streaming w/ MapmyWalk.)

Once again great ROM, but none of my apps that I have stored on my sd card are showing up in my app drawer. I've reloaded the room with no luck. Also, I can't get Facebook to add to my sync accounts. Other than that, it seems super fast!

Just wanted to say thank you for such a nice looking ROM, this is my 2nd one (first was XtrSense) probably about a year ago and this nice little change will help get me until the GNex release. Many thanks once again.

I went to do a WiFi tether and noticed that the app is missing. Is that something that was removed from the S2H version? It was in the previous version.

I do find it very useful...

Figured out my problems. Apparently my phone didn't like the wallpaper hack. Once I shut it off, all my apps showed up. After uninstalling and reinstalling the FB app, it started syncing up, so apparently I had something in the app not set up right.
