Help Continuosly being asked to Select Time Zone

I am continuously being asked to select my time zone. I have automatic date and time zone both selected. Does anyone else have this issue?

I've gotten that several times too. Phone is auto setting time. It's always right. I've just cleared the notification and haven't worried about it. I am curious why it keeps popping up.

I've updated PRL and profile, may have helped, I still lose data in certain places. That would explain it.

It did it to me again this afternoon. I was in a bad area, went onto a roaming signal for a while then back onto Sprint. Before my mobile data came back it popped up.

It really doesn't hurt anything as far as I can tell, although it does get annoying. :p

When you tap the clock on Sense 4, do you still get a + in the upper corner? I recall using that to set my default time zone.

I also recall being able to reset it by removing and re-adding the widget.

Sorry if this is nonsense for Sense 4.

I am getting this the message twice a day... But my time is correct.. Hmm.... and I am also noticing that only weather widget it says "current time" instead of my real time location.. The weather the seems accurate to my area though i should add..... All the location sand widget settings are correct... Anyone else having this issue as well??

I've only had the time issue in my apartment, but then I don't have a great signal in here. There do seem to be several posts about this though - before this thread was started there were a few similar posts in another thread reporting this (maybe first impressions thread?)

Hmm... Interesting... The first night I had it it did say the correct location but since then... Data speeds have been slow and I haven't seen my exact location.... I'll call sprint Tuesday and see what they have to say and post an update

Menu -> Settings -> Date & Time -> Un-check Automatic time zone
Then 3 choices below, set the time zone to what you want.

If you travel or live near a time zone boundary you will want to remember this setting location and enable automatic or manually change it when crossing a boundary.

If you are feeling saucy you can un-check automatic time and date too.

Just remember when traveling, crossing time zones, and daylight savings rolls around to manually update.

Manually controlling these options can "save" you a marginal amount of battery life as well since you won't be polling towers for this information. Though you usually collect this info during normal everyday operation. (Beware, text message time stamps can get out of whack.) :D

Yep, that's exactly what I did. Honestly I'm glad others are having this issue too because I've had an atomic clock that's been toying with me for weeks too. I thought maybe something was just wonky at my place so this just reaffirms that my atomic clock has reached the end of it's useful life :D

So you can't set a default timezone when you first add the clock widget to your homescreen, nor through the + button as pictured in the screen on the left??

That's been there since Sense 1, world clock, menu, local time settings, as well as through the settings path you mention.

OK, maybe I misread that the first time, sorry.

So my ltevo always shows "current location" on the weather clock widget.. What's up with that lol... My 3vo was always accurate.. Also for some reason my phone thinks the weather is "thunder storms" until I tap the widget... It then updates and the correct weather is shown... But as for the location... It always says current location and when I force it to update it says " unable to locate current location".. All settings for the widget and location are correct.... And Facebook seems to be accurate on location... Am I doing something wrong here? Anyone else noticing this?

On the world clock screen if you go to menu -> settings -> it shortcuts you over to the settings menu path I mentioned above

So the answer is no then.

Someone else will have to fully confirm or deny using the + button on the world clock screen (adding a city) or adding the clock widget to home. I don't utilize either of these.

I'm not sure what the question is anymore
You can set your default time zone like EM was asking, on the World Clock screen. Also like Pyro said, if you select Settings, Date & Time, it brings up the options screen below. But the problem is, if you check "Automatic time zone" in the Date & Time settings, it's not always sticking.

I don't know if I got the message because I was driving, but my clock was an hour ahead through western Kansas and then when I crossed into the mountain time zone it was two hours ahead, but then it switched to mountain time. I finally put a widget on the screen set to Denver and ignored the time in the corner.
