Help Continuosly being asked to Select Time Zone

I keep noticing every few hours my evo 4g LTE prompts me for the time zone I currently am in? I haven't left the state let alone my city since iv got this device nor have I changed the time zone to other than my normal time zone since I have had the device.

And also every few hours it shows up with a message "you are currently domestic roaming....etc...." I am on the everything data plan so I pay for roaming and don't get charged...so I don't understand why it keeps doing this because im not roaming according to my cell signal display and if I'm roaming in my own city we have a problem and no I'm not by any lake or ocean! So its not like I'm getting Canada's towers even though I do live in Erie pa (lake Erie) but iv never had this issue well these issues with any of my past evo phones? Anyone else having these two issues?

As work around you might in Settings, Date & Time uncheck Automatically set by network.

Hey everyone,

My EVO 4G LTE has been working great but every now and then a message pops up for me to set the time and date on my phone. I have it set to the auto date and time and it to seems to happen regardless if I have good reception or not.

It eventually seems to set itself but wondering if anyone else has been having these issues?

Yeah I figured that's the issue as well, but never had that message on my old 4G. I get fairly bad data reception at home because I live in an area with a lot of apartment buildings/condos and 3 flats. But I'm fairly close to a tower so not sure what the deal is......

Try Open Signal Maps to determine what's up with the reception, see post 2 for the workaround.

I agree that I think it is a roaming issue. When I would roam on the OG Evo, my text message time stamps were 4 hours behind, so it was a pain in the butt to scroll up text messages to find replies. I have seen the time zone update on the LTE and it was usually in a bad area or if I updated Profile and that brief time it goes out and searches for a signal to acquire after update.
