Root CPU governors?

Hey guys, now that we have Loki and are able to flash custom kernels, how hard would be for the devs to implement some of the CPU governors that are in other kernels? I'm talking about interactive, smartass, lagfree, lionheart, etc. I'm a bit concerned about the battery life that I'm getting so a different governor might be the solution.

Also, a choice to be able to underclock the device to 250mhz when the screen is off wouldn't be a bad idea.

Please, if possible devs, look into it. Thank you for everything that you do.
 
Governors require changes to the source before its built.

Is source code available for your device?

If so, it should be something that can be done. :thumbup:
 
I'm working on a kernel right now based on F, with a few more governors, and a new io schedule, as well as a larger clock table, (trying to push it farther), and what I am working on now, adding the C kernel camera drivers and a few other changes. I'll upload source later.. if you want it now, catch me on skype.

Hey Angablade, I will be looking forward to it. If possible, please try to add an option for underclock, ie. ~200mhz. I've had this phone for a year and until now I have only had it rooted. With a kernel such as yours and a rom to go along with that, this phone will be perfect.

kernel source upload for backup on mediafire.

That application is mediafire-express.

It is the only way to upload folders of files to mediafire.

yes for backup, for when you pc/hdd/code just goes to hell for wtfe reason. It also will be available to help others learn, or apply same mods to a diff kernel, and most important, abide to the GPL. ;)

Also allow you to be able to revert changes, etc, etc, etc. You should know all this by now. lol
 
I am working on the code now, and that link above in my last post is the starting base using GT's Overclocked Base kernel code, with the C camera kinda /inserted/ borrowed from HK's original CM 10 build, and a few other additions.

figure out how to get the cpufreq's to set a default speed instead of max on boot until set with a app etc?? That had me kinda stumped, never had that issue b4 really.
