Root CPU overclock speed for videos?

I'm sorry, I know I asked about overclocking once before, last year, but I can't find my thread with the info, LOL.

I'm having trouble streaming video from an app I have that plays videos (Smithsonian app...nature videos, very cool). I'm wondering if I should try overclocking or if that's totally unrelated?

I have the No Frills CPU app and am usually set at 748 for upper limit.

TIA!

I would try a different rom. Some roms don't play videos right. Stock rom and I think most IHO cm7 roms work well.

my no frills cpu settings say 806 and 480, interactive governor and deadline I/O (don't know what any of that means, LOL).

Wow! I can't believe you have forgotten all the great info we tried to stuff in your brain awhile back. Lol.

The min. is where your phone idles so don't go over 480MHz or you will will start to experience a faster battery drain (this is actually the best setting).

The Max is where the overclocking really takes place. I would set it to 748MHz with Harmonia, then when watching videos you can bump it up to as high as you feel comfortable with. When done watching the video set it back to 748MHz.

The Governor is what governs how the CPU goes from idle to the max, and back again.
Select Interactive for the best all around battery and performance. When Watching a video select performance.

The best ROM's for watching streaming videos are the Gingerbread ROM's.

I know, I'm hopeless, LOL.

Thanks for the great reminders...I'm putting them in a note file. :)
