Crapware that you can't even use

So as we know madden 11 is on the phone by default. I like sports so I figured I might as well check it out. There is more content to load but it just sits and the download screen and does nothing. I checked the market and it isn't there anymore. It looks like Madden 11 is on the phone and it can't be deleted, but can't be used anymore either.
 
I rooted my Eris but only after it was EOL and there were to be no more updates for it. I have the X for 2 years so root will happen eventually. Just not yet. It is pleanty fast and Gingerbread is to come.

I just checked mine.. the app is in the app drawer and works just fine.. can only play 3 min but plays and works fine.... stock phone.. not rooted.
 
Root, create a backup of stock in recovery (for the next OTA), then load a custom rom, like Apex, which is already debloated.
 
Train, did you alredy have the extra content downloaded? Happens when the app is launched for the first time. This was the first time I launched it and the download screen wouldn't move.
