scroll up....i asked him about the audio too and he said what you need to name and it and where it has to go....if thats what your trying to find out

sweet....thanks man...when i searched for it there were like 5 pages of files with root explorer.apk lol...i picked 2.16...said 2 months ago so i dunno if that was the newest version
 
sweet, i got it to work....i like that android eye....

can you use the bootanimation for the bootdownanimation if you just rename it??
 
I find most of these boot animations dont work if your on any 2.3 sense based rom ... they were designed for 2.2 i believe. A few still work ...

i tried about half of them on the Custom Boot Animations and Splash Screens page and the 3d Minions Boot Animations page and every single one of them worked....Im running the EVOlvedROM r3chargeD RC1and that has sense 3.0....now i havent tried every single one of them but im definately over half and they worked perfectly, along with the sounds...
 
I am having zero luck finding the boot file, i have tried both programs to find it. I am rooted but sadly for now how given up on Roms. Is it because ive not flashed a Rom yet?
 
If your still on a stock ROM you'= should still be able to find and change it. Keep looking, it is there somewhere.
 
you want to look for a variation of bootanimation.zip

I have seen:
bootanimation.zip
spc_bootanimation.zip
htc_bootanimation.zip

usually these are either in
/system/customize/resources or /system/media/

most sense and aosp roms place them there.
 
I got mine, on a stock Rom, rooted it is in the: system/customize/resource folder last file clear at the bottom of Root Explorer. Thanks for all the help.
Oh and it was named: spc_bootanimation.zip
 
I currently have CM7 7.1.0 RC1- supersonic and I put both the video and audio in system/media video plays fine but the audio file does not play. I named "android_audio.mp3" as instructed. Am I doing something wrong or does CM7 not support audio?
