Accessories Custom Made Incredible Dock

I would definitely get one too if the USB cable was mounted on. Perhaps, 2 small adjustable screws to hold it there would make it universal. Kinda like a mounting a christmas tree. :)

I am going to definitely give that some thought.

Perhaps something like this. I would definitely make this a separate part and probably attach it with a 3M double side VHB tape. Which if you have ever used is crazy strong, and more than adequate for this application. Hmmmmmmmmm... *thinking*

I like that idea for the power cord for sure. Would this be something that would be available with the first release or something that would be able to be added on to it at a later time?

Can't wait for this dock.

I think it would add to the clean look of the stand if it would fit. It would keep the cable close to the underside of the dock out of site for the most part and send it out the back where it belongs. The site had tons of cable options. I think its USBFirewire.com.

Well... awesome product.... awesome progress....

as an innocase II user, this is a MUST have.... TWICE!

so, I am in for 2!

It just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to see what the final product is going to look like!

Oh yes I will include the gripper on the first run. I am not going to put something out there that I myself wouldn't be satisfied with. What I was originally going to do was just oversize the hole so pretty much any cable could be used. I really hated the idea of having to fumble around inserting the cable from the bottom each time you wanted to dock it though. But the Christmas tree reference "thanks NiteRider", is a real good idea. He said 2 screws, but I am going to add 4, which will allow you to dial in a real nice fit.

I don't think I am going to add any back support though, because I don't think it is needed. If the USB connector is solid then the phone can't tilt back so it will be fairly solid. I also think it will look cleaner without the back rest not to mention 1 less thing to make. If I start adding to much to it, the price is going to have to go up. So I think I have a "final" design. For now.....;-).

This new design will fit the innocase II as well as a naked phone. And I am sure any gel or silicone case, because those don't hardly add any thickness.

If you use the christmas tree style clamp, you could probably make it so the plug can be positioned to accommodate different cases - or no case at all - without having to modify the design. Does that make sense?

Yup, Makes perfect sense and that is the route that I am going. I have already did a rough mock up and I think it is going to work great.
