Root [CWM][ROOT][RZR] Root & Recovery AIO - UPDATED 2-19-2012

Okay all my problems are fixed! After a few mess ups and rebooting i finally got my phone to work while rooted. Last night i used exit recovery on my SD card to reboot at least to the home screen. Then this morning i did the CWM unroot and stock reboot. I did that and it fixed my audio problem i was having. Then i re rooted it and put the LD-ZVD speed kernal and the plague esteem kernal. So my phone is working fine now. I want to get a overclock program. Can someone please give me a link. Thank you soo much for the help
 
my audio problem was solved after i unrooted and re rooted. My software version is MS910ZVB. Can you please advise me on how i can make the best out of my rooted LG Esteem. Like what i should do, processers, apps etc. Thank you so much for your help i coulndt have done it without you.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LG DRIVERS ON YOUR COMPUTER AND NOTHING RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND. A FRESH WINDOWS INSTALL IS PREFERRED with NO "anti-anything" programs or network/remote users. ALWAYS HAVE A FULL BATTERY ON YOUR PHONE WHEN FLASHING/RESTORING/BACKUP.

A fresh Windows install is not require at all and it doesnt matter if a AV is running or not. ;)

you enable debugging from the settings > applications menu.

To boot into recovery, you use adb reboot recovery, or power off, vol up/down n power, or a app like rom toolbox to reboot to recovery.

It will still show the Fact reset screen, but once CWM is installed it wont wipe data etc.

Easiest way to install CWM now is via ROM Manager. ;)
 
quick silly question here.. not sure exactly how this would work but is it possible to port the amon_RA recovery to esteem? main reason i ask is for use of 'switch-rom'

for those of you who dont know what that is.. it's basically a terminal in the recovery used to quickly switch through and make backups of various roms.. for your device of coarse.. lol

figured i ask.. :D

im on zve, just looking to root or install recovery to flash a rooted rom.
any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I didn't know u was trying to root . do u have all the drivers and for some reason you may need to run twice. And make sure you have the user debugging checked .
