Root [CWM][ROOT][RZR] Root & Recovery AIO - UPDATED 2-19-2012

I tried the link the OP provided for the AIO, but my antivirus (ESET NOD32) picked it up as a virus / attempted attack from the website the file is hosted on. Anyone mind re-uploading it somewhere else?

There is a team on xda that has a source code available to build a touch recovery if you want me to link you up. If memory serves correctly, its cwm based.

if they have koush's touch src and not on the cm team, then they got by illegal means ;)

I tried to add the postrecoveryboot.sh to the img n repacked it wrong, so my esteem is stuck on the lg screen now :(

Just pulled the thread up , its just touch controls. And uh oh... :/... well couldnt ADB help ya with that?
 
i am stuck on the rzr recovery loop. i have hard reset my phone and tried to unroot but nothing works. once i power on it goes straight to rzr recovery and reads msg "E: can't mount /cache/recovery/command" please someone help:(
 
I rooted my phone and the speaker stopped working no sound at all. So i reset to factory settings but upon restarting it goes straight to the RZRecovery screen and a message that says E:cant mount/cahe/recover/command. Can somebody please tell me what i should do. Or is there software i can download onto my SD card that will get me to my home screen? Please let me know. I am currently unable to use my phone.

Thank you for your reply i am downloading the exit recovery now. But will it automatically go to my phone if it is stuck in the RZRecovery screen? Or will i have to take out my sd card and insert it into my computer? Not sure, how do i find what version im on? I just downloaded the esteem AIO package and rooted my phone. Also why does the audio mess up when rooted? is there a solution to this? I am new to this rooting stuff. Thank you so much for your reply and help

Yes put it on your SD card via your computer-put the SD back into the phone and when it boots to recovery-install from SD( exitrecovery.zip)
Rooting the phone shouldn't have messed up the audio at all-not sure why that happened-my first Esteem blew the speaker 2 weeks after I had it(not rooted):(
Let's get you back up and then we can check your version.
See your a pro already-you knew to put it to the SD card with your computer:thumbup:
 
Okay thank you so much. I thought i had to do this alone and didnt know where to start. i feel better that i have someone to help me who knows this stuff. When i first rooted my phone everything was running good. I had the superuser program and the windows 7 theme. And my phone was processing fast. But then i tried to make a phone call and I couldnt hear it ringing. Then i tried to play music and nope no volume. I wonder if it is from one of the root programs i downloaded. Okay so I have to wait till i get off work to put my sd card in the computer, i forgot the adapter at home. But i will do what you told me and we can go from there. Also after i get this fixed i will re root and maybe you can tell me how to make my phone run at 1.7GHZ thats the main reason i rooted my phone. Because my phone was lagging allot. Well ill let you know as soon as i try the exit recovery. And again thank you so much for your help and advice. Please keep in touch. Thanks!

Lol naw i have the LG Esteem, I am so bored at work without my phone working. I cant wait to see if putting that file on my SD card works. It looks like allot of people have the same problem as mine. Is it the RZR program that is not good, or what could the problem be? What programs would you recommend i use to root my phone?

Okay i did the exit recovery it worked but my phone is running a 4G lte now lol. My speaker still doesnt work though! :( WHat can i do to fix that? Please know the answer......:o Thanks

Lets try the simple thing for the sound(not saying you have not tried it or are stupid at all BTW -just process of elimination -on a few roms sound was disabled after boot..LOL)
Go to settings-sound-and make sure silenced is NOT selected-also go into volume there and make sure they are all turned up.
To see what version you are on go to settings-about phone-scroll down to version-should end in ZV(A-B-C-or D.
