Root CyanogenMOD 13 UNOFFICIAL Beta 2

The proximity sensor fix file doesn't seem to want to work. If I hold a flashlight up to the sensor, the screen will come on, and I can exit the call. If I turn on Speakerphone while I have the flashlight up to the sensor, the screen will then stay on. But, if I turn Speakerphone off, the screen will not come back on until I hold a flashlight up to the sensor again, or the call ends. Also, plugging headphones in keeps the screen on. But it will not do it by itself. At least for me. Maybe my Zmax just hates anything but stock. :-(

It might not be that simple. I once had a problem where that didn't work and I ended up having to re flash the rom before I could take screenshots again.
I tried renaming /sdcard/Pictures to pictures2 then I just deleted Pictures and Pictures2 and it still wouldn't save them until I clean flashed the ROM all over again.

Well, I got the screen to work during calls. YAY ME for being a smart cookie.

But, I noticed a few things. First off, this ROM doesn't get along with Snapchat. Couldn't log in.
And Hangouts has issues, too. I normally have people call my Google Voice number, and it rings directly to my phone. For some reason, this ROM won't let it happen. Other than that, it runs really fast and smooth. Can't wait to see a final product.

I would really love to keep running 6.0 but the constant dropping of connection really sucks. Bluetooth works when it wants to (on 2 different car stereos). Navigation works intermittently on google maps and reboots with Waze. I also noticed that the signal seems weak inside the house. Anyone else having the same issues? Any fixes?
I figured out the fix for the Bluetooth connection problem.

Help!

I have a MetroPCS ZTE Zmax currently running CM13 beta 2.

I previously flashed several other ROMs (lollipop) with not much success (AICP, Carbon, etc.), meaning that multiple different problems with features/issues existed... enough to force me to seek alternate ROMs. Mind you, this wasn't without a valiant effort, and hours upon hours of trial and error. Maybe these other ROMs didn't work due to unresolved glitches, maybe it was due to my error(s) in installation. Either way, THIS ROM... CM13 beta 2 has been the best, cleanest, and most fully working that I have experienced, and am extremely happy. My applause and gratitude to the creator(s)!

I am, however, experiencing a problem, which I suspect from my research, might (?) be common to many (everyone from lollipop and up)... LTE.

From what I've read thus far, many issues exist, everything from LTE stability to even it's existence as a choice in menus.

In 'Preferred Network Type' my only choice is 3G or 2G. LTE is missing as a choice. Also, while in 3G mode, the signal bounces all over the place... 3G, H, H+.

I've tried many 'fixes', all to no avail. Is this a problem with CM13? Marshmallow? The ZTE Zmax?

Or, hopefully, there is a fix? A patch that I can flash? Something?

I just want STABLE connectivity, at the 4G speeds I know this phone is capable of when I had KK.

Thanks in advance to all who help/answer!!

... ADDENDUM TO PRIOR POST...

Unless I've done something wrong, yes, I've tried all the APN fixes/resets/clearing/reboots/manual adds/etc.
