Do you not get boot logo's when you switch on the phone? Or do the logos dissapear only when you hold the home button on powerup?

No I don't get any boot image (LG logo) except the Cyanogen animated logo.But before Cyanogen logo comes, phone displays a ash colour bars in a ash colour background (for like a sec) :confused::rolleyes: don't know what was the issue.
 
I took it out the first time, and left it in the 2nd and 3rd time i flashed it, had no problems at all
 
When I was using KDZ the program forced closed and now when i turn on my phone it brings up an error message saying that android has stopped and force close help me

What happened was i ran the updater and everything was going grand and then it came up program not responding and it closed. My phone booted up but when i put my pin in all these error messages started coming up and nothing works!:(

Try switching the phone on, even if the force close messages come up, plug the phone in and try again with the KDZ updater. Note that even when it says not responding, it's actually still working; so don't close the program and wait till it's done. Also, don't use the computer at all until the update is done.

I ran the updater again everything went fine but when it goes into fastboot mode it cant find device driver!
 
dudeman first of all great work, been following your threads a while now, finally plucked up the courage to jump to 2.2, easy as pie thx, howevezr i didnt see in the bug section that 3g would not work i dont even have anything when i look in APN settings just a black screen is this normal, i love 2.2 dont wont to go back to 2.1 but no point paying for internet unlimited contract if i aint got the 3g to access it.

Have had to register just to say thanks to dudeman1996, have had the GT540 for a month from carphone warehouse and was unhappy with not putting apps onto sd card.... followed this tut and worked like a charm, now gonna have to think about installing Cyanogen 7... but wondering if should just wait a while til the bugs are sorted out... many thanks again for this tutorial dudeman1996 and keep up the good work :)
