Root Cyanogenmod 7 Bootloader

[Indrid Cold]

Does Cyanogenmod 7 allow us to reboot directly into the bootloader?

[Phone options>Reboot>Bootloader]

Every time I try this it just reboots and loads the OS as a normal power up. What am I missing here? Is there some setting that needs to be selected or checked?

[Flying_Hellfish]

I think you just answered your own question..... lol But yeah, I see the same thing when I try.

[Indrid Cold]

You too huh?..Perhaps a future nightly will fix this issue. It's a minor annoyance. *smile*

[VoidedSaint]

have you installed the latest nightly? that may be what the problem is

[Indrid Cold]

It's funny you should ask. *smile* I'm downloading it right now...as I'm writing this...

[bouchigo]

What nightly are you on currently?

[VoidedSaint]

yeah its not the case the newest nightly will fix your issue. its just a suggestion that may work

[bouchigo]

Yeah, I never bothered trying that feature, it's so easy to get into bootloader mode anyway

[VoidedSaint]

what feature?

[bouchigo]

Getting into bootloader by holding the power button and selecting "bootloader" in the popup menu.

[Flying_Hellfish]

It has never worked as far as I know.

[trophynuts]

it has worked every time i've done it. i'm on Nightly 42. I haven't had a reason to jump to a newer nightly.

You can reboot to the bootloader, not recovery?
