Had a quick look, but in work so can't study properly. Was able to hide the actual perfect app locker app but not the app i put within it? Have you actually managed to do this yourself?

Edit: Apparently its to do with Siyah 3.1. There's an update to version 3.1.2 which fixes this - only problem is as I cant access the internal SD card, I cant save the kernel :P

Can I install an earlier version of the ROM without doing a full wipe?

Thanks for the heads up, installed 3.1.2 and its done the trick, back to d4rom i go!:p
 
For those of you on D4 with latest Siyah, how are you finding:

1. Battery life. What is your average drop per idle hour?
2. Browsing. Has scrolling and zooming in+out on the stock browser improved? How is it now compared to GB?

Also, to repeat my post above, do any of you have any links to compatible D4 themes (.d4te files) I'm particularly interested in the black theme.
There doesn't seem to be a link to themes on the thread's first posts.

Overnight, after a full power-off charge and battery pull, it dropped 7% in 10hrs. So that was approx 0.7% per hour.

Pass. The little I've done has been with either Firefox or Boat.

Thanks, had a quick search on the andriod market, OMG there is so many! Can anyone recommend a decent one?

Quite like the look of Regina 3D as it mentions being able to create folders within folders which might resolve my issue however there is no mention of support for ICS. Am I playing with fire by trying to use something not yet supporting ICS or will it be a simple uninstall if doesn't work?
 
ahhh sorry to hear that....only problem i'm having now is when trying to install the black ice theme....downloads ok, installs ok, when reboot phone it gets stuck on logo.

I'm really in love with Go Launcher, feature packed and always been very smooth and stable for me when under-volting etc.

Just trying to access the internal SD card. Get that message when I look in the gallery, try to download a file - anything which tries to access the internal SD card.

I've overcome it though. In settings > storage > menu > storage configuration & UNTICKED use internal storage. After a restart this now works

Same issue for me :/ Causes MX player to not open as well as some apps.

Going to try speedmod after I update to 8.

Theme engine doesn't work for me either and I'm really missing the JK lock screen and quick shortcuts tbh, plus the ability to enter my lock pin after making a selection in the lockscreen. Now just the request for my unlock pin comes up.

Nice ideas in this ROM but for ICS roms Andys seems to be the best for my phone thus far.

Just had another look at it and it doesn't seem to actually hide the app, it seems to just password it, my mistake.

I am sure there is something out there, I am sure there are plenty of people with in the same situation, just whether they are ICS compatible is another question.

To the person who wanted to hide an app icon - unless i misread - Go Launcher has this function I believe.

Thanks, I've downloaded it there is a hide app feature! Now if only I could figure out how to actuall open the apps I've hidden... any suggestions?

EDIT: Guess I just go back to hide apps and untick them?
 
Theres an issue with the wifi not working on v8, but I think I have solved the issue.

I tried to install the Black Ice theme, but it got stuck on the boot animation. I reinstalled the ROM, with only clearing the cache & dalvik cache before I flashed the ROM. When the phone rebooted I couldnt get any wifi access.

I then reflashed the ROM, but with clearing cache & dalvik cache before & after flashing the ROM. This worked & I now have wifi access back.

I'd post this on xda, but haven't got enough kudos to post in the developer section (need ten posts). Maybe someone who can, can share this with them?
 
I'm glad I've decided to hold back on this for a week. Appears to be a large variety of problems
(wifi, sd card, swipe to answer calls....) Seems like this has been a very rushed update to me.

I shall wait for the dust to settle on this one.....
 
Curious, where are all these AOKP mods etc people are talking about?

Thus far I can't see why AOKP is meant to be more customizable than sammy roms?

Thanks for the follow up.... I hadn't noticed there was a "storage" menu. That option was disabled by default here, hence why I wasn't seeing the same issue.

Hopefully this confusion will disappear with the next D4 update, as right now I'm not sure what is being stored where. :confused:
 
I tried v.7 today, and apart from no radio and the scrolling issue, it's pretty good. I'll wait for 8.1 before upgrading though.

As it is, I'm back on LP7, as the stock browser is much smoother and so is scrolling.
