Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Verizon took the phone off of their website...Do you think there are new issues or Verizon is completely overwhelmed with all of the orders and phone calls about dates?

I noticed that myself. Hopefully it's because they finally got smart and realized that if they kept taking orders for phones they didn't have, they would never catch up!

i would hope thats the case. I really don't think this affects people who have already ordered their phones. It makes sense that they take it off if people are waiting 2-3 weeks to get their phones.

Backorder or not i feel like if they left it on the site they stand to make more money, right? Even though its a long wait, if they told me i would have to wait a full 30 days to get the phone i still might be patient enough to wait for it. Maybe more likely if they gave me a small discount. :cool:

I'm sure its just maintenance or something I wouldn't worry about it

Same here. I'm on Long Island and that seems to be serviced from West Chester.

5/13 order. Got my fingers and toes crossed for shipment tomorrow. Phone CSR confirmed it's set for overnight, but others report being changed to 2nd day.

I really, REALLY want it before the long weekend.

Hi I'm new to the Android scene... I hate my Blackberry storm 9530. Tell me if this is weird: I am not eligible for NE2 and my contract is not over till November. But yet, I was offered the Incredible for $99 with overnight shipping. I ordered it on the 14th, was promised on the 19th. Never showed up. Promised again on the 29th.

Nice deal I guess.

No one in this thread who ordered on the 14th (or 12th or 13th) has received their phone yet. You are probably looking at Friday or, more likely, early next week.

Shipping from Memphis, TN

One sad note, when I talked to a rep a while back they said they were upgrading everyone to overnight shipping but I see mine is coming 2-day so it won't be here until the 27th.

Oh well...

I don't think you will find sympathy for getting 2nd day delivery when there are thousands just waiting for a confirmation...

I wasn't looking for sympathy, just passing along info that VZW doesn't appear to be upgrading everyone to overnight shipping no matter what the CS reps tell you.
 
ugadawg: I finally received my confirmation today around 4 pm. It's shipping out of TN and I'm in GA, delivery date says 5/27 (ordered in store on 5/10).
