thanks, didnt know that, i thought they were doing it for no reason

i got my shipment notification late friday night, so i'm pretty sure e-mails are still going out till at least 7pm (whatever time zone they operate in)

We looked and looked and to our dismay there are no screens!
There is a shortage so we have heard,
this isnt the oil Spill VZ fix the problem you nerds!
The rants will keep on going our frustrations wont get delayed,
But our Dincble's we wont now! Not next May! :(

You do have some kind of wait in front of ya volley! I'm guessing with the upcoming release of the X and the I4 some of the pressure for the Dinc is released and you get your phone by or before the projected ship by date.
It speaks a lot for the phone that orders still continue to be placed with the wait forever for it so wildly known. Welcome to the pitt btw.

Thanks, that was great!!!! The good thing is you can send them an email like that and get a really really good laugh, the bad news is they will probably disconnect your service...:D
 
Ok kids.. I've logged on here to see the new shipped notifications and I see zero. WTF? Back to the salt mine.... hope the emails flow freely this afternoon... sheesh
 
Trust me, canceling the order for the Incredible was a tough decision. I wanted it so bad, I could taste it. It does indeed speak volumes about the phone that folks are still ordering it.

Unfortunately, rather than getting a handle on the problem and dealing honestly and directly with the consumer, Verizon has taken the approach to this crisis tantamount to something of a proverbial "Chinese Fire-drill". It's chaotic, unorganized and getting worse instead of better.

My decision to go with the Droid "X" better not look anything like this "Goat Rope" or I am going to throw my hands up..buy some string and a couple of cans..thread the thing to my fiances house and communicate the old fashioned way!
 
Made the afternoon call. No shipping of course. She took my number and said she would check it later and let me know my tracking number ;0 (me not holding my breath). Interesting, nobody has received any tracking numbers today unless you count the ones that came last night. The verizon store and best buy basically held up their palms and said they have no idea when or how any phones will be shipped to them.

Off to BB to get on the X list.
 
I ordered on 6/22, and according the Verizon site my phone "Ships by 7/20".
After reading all of these posts I realize that probably won't be the case :p
How long has the average person had to wait?
 
just called 611 earlier was told that all orders that was suppose to ship 6/25 have a 5 day delay so will ship 6/30 and will receive by Friday. but she did say it could ship before then. any 6/5ers heard anything else?
 
Still no tracking number after the first CSR told me to call after 3pm.

The iPhone 4 is looking better and better. AT&T has the same coverage where I live so that is not an issue.

Hey everyone. 6/7 online order here.

I just got off the phone with Online Sales Rep and he was probably one of the best reps I could have asked for. After taking my order reference number he told me that he saw that my order ship date was supposed to be today, which comforted me in a sense that at least he admitted to the promised date and didn't give me any 'estimate date' bs. He told me that there was no shipment info or tracking number up and that therefore my order hadn't shipped yet and then explained immediately that for some unknown reason the last 2 shipments they were planning to receive from HTC hadn't come in, which in turn resulted in a further delay in our shipments. He went on to explain that it was due to Samsung's screen development but I let him know I knew of the screen shortage and such.

When I asked him when I can expect my order to be shipped by now - expecting a vague answer which ultimately would provide me with no info - he told me that the absolute worst case scenario would be a 5 day delay but that it was much more likely that I have my DINC in hand before the weekend. He also confirmed that I would be receiving it as overnight, and thus the next business day from the ship date.

Although I received what is clearly bad news, due to my lurking here I was already expecting such and the rep was very clear and helpful. Maybe I just have lower standards from all the stories I read of here, but somehow I am not upset over this at all. Perhaps I may still get a shipping notification e-mail tonight?

What's the latest time during the day anyone has received the notification e-mail?

Good to hear. I am also a 6/7 order and my Storm 1 really wants to be my new paper weight.

I can't help But hate you right now, but love u at the same time for posting. I was losing hope for today....
 
This is getting rediculous. 6/3 here, I've got nothing but lies. A csr promised me multiple times on 6/24 that it shipped and would be in my hands on the 25th, but I had no tracking number because "FedEx doesn't give them anymore." BS. They wont compensate me at all, and they continue to give me random-out-the-ass estimates. I hope I get it this week. Im so pissed, and to rub salt in the wound, people who ordered after me are getting their devices! Wtf Verizon, I'm so tempted to just go to the local VZW store and drown it with 700 gallons of fire-grade foam. FSCK.
 
New to the thread but still waiting. Called 611 today and said nothing had been processed or shipped yet. What a bunch of know-nothings! I placed my order at 6/5 in the store and have no clue what is stopping me from wanting the X besides the fact I have been waiting for the Dinc for nearly 3 weeks. Considering I ordered the phone before I was done with my chemotherapy and always wondered which would come first: my last session or the arrival of my phone.
 
I am playing stupid with verizon now and I just sent them an email asking if there was a "mix up on my shipping" :D :p, because my phone was supposed to ship today, but I didn't receive a tracking number. Wonder what kind of bullshit they'll send back?

Honestly I wouldn't care so much, but they've lied to me since the beginning. Before I placed my order on 6/6 I talked with a live chat person. I asked if the ship by date of 6/28 was solid or were the phones shipping the whole time. They responded the phones were "in stock and I would get one overnight". The live chat rep essentially stated the ship by date of 6/28 was just their way of covering their asses.

Little did I know I would be a part of this bin of psychos :D, just grinding my teeth and pissing in the wind. It has been a fun read though, but hopefully I get out soon.

I'd be pissed as well. I would talk to them about credits and such. I was lucky enough to get a rep that gave me a 35.00 credit. Then gave me free data (30.00 Value) off my next month's bill. Give them hell, I know I would be furious!
 
Ok i couldn't resist and called today even though my ship date is supposed to be tomorrow (I ordered on 6/9). He said he had no tracking info and wouldn't know when it would ship. I asked about a bill credit if it goes out late and he said they couldn't do that but they would allow me to cancel the order and they would reimburse my card. Not that I want to do that, I just want my phone!
 
can't believe i registered and i'm posting in this thread....
6/6 order date, called CS and they said no ship yet... i said well that sucks blah blah blah

then they offered me an upgrade on my other line. I said no thanks to what else can you do for me?

then they gave me a $20 credit LOL .... and still said it might ship today, yeah right.
