Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Do any of you think its worth trying to call a CSR and see if my phone has been shipped? Im tempted to, but I know I will probably just sit through 5 automated menus and then get a "ship by" date
They can check pretty quickly for you.

I've called a couple of times today. My company ordered for me, so the notification won't come directly to me.

ARGH, just found out my order is actually on 5/14, even though it was ordered on the 13rd. I guess it was after the cutoff. It is set for overnight, so I guess it's still possible I have it by Friday.
 
Anyone know at what point I should give up hope of getting it by the weekend.
I ordered it in the store, and don't remember them specifying a type of shipping.. probably means 2 day.

I'm guessing that means I need a confirmation today (ordered 5/12 so hopefully still possible)

Basically... what time do they send out notifications till? I'm in NC so I'm guessing it'll come from Memphis

I think people keep getting notices until 10pm or so EST.

Anyway, I was just told by a "supervisor" (insert joke here) that there is a 3 week lead time for shipment...so basically add 3 weeks to your order date.

Yeah i ordered 5/14 told 6/4 exactly 3weeks later, could be true that...

I've called a couple of times, and never gotten anything other than the "ship by" date... Believe it or not, the speculation on this thread is probably more accurate than what the vz reps are telling me.

As for the 3 week lead time, I hope that's just the current lead time if you order it today... not for existing orders

Following this thread it seems like everyone are getting their phones 2 weeks after ordering, even though the ship by date (posted the day the order was made) shows 3 weeks.

I ordered the day before you and they just told me 6/4!!
All they told you was the ship by date that was on the website when you ordered.

People, isn't that clear by now that that's ALL the CSRs know?!

Please stop relying on or giving any value whatsoever to that date. All it is the date it should ship by, nothing else. Doesn't at all mean it won't (and most all have) ship before that.
 
Well I just called customer service to check the status of my ordered and was told it hasn't shipped out and orders on the 12th will ship the 28th. Same old message. Unless I get extremely lucky and received that long awaited email, it looks like I'll be waiting over the weekend.
 
Order 5/12 through tech support, its a replacement. No email. Called Verizon and it shipped today for tomorrow delivery. They even were able to change the ship to address. Sweet.

By the way, shipping from Ontario, CA. Im in upstate NY.

Yes, that is the info (on the bottom) needed to activate the phone.
 
Ordered 5/12 and I just got the shipment notification with tracking number. I will get it this Friday (5/28) :D:D:D I am in SoCal.
 
Order placed in a vzw store in Seattle on 5/12/10, and I just got a fedex tracking # from ontario. Should be here 5/28 at the latest.

Interestingly enough I was told I would have to keep calling the store to get a tracking number, but I got an email instead. Excitement!
