Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I guess that makes sense. I never took it as personal, just bewildering. But I hadn't considered it from the business standpoint, only the customer. Either way, tomorrow I should have my phone. One day isn't going to kill me. I'm pretty patient. I just couldn't figure out the logic on holding my phone for delivery tomorrow.

Now wait a sec...I just called VZW to ask about data plan & when it would be activated, so while I was on the line, I asked about the Inc. Luckily the guy was happy to talk about it (& slam the iPhone while he was at it), and he said that I shouldn't consider my late-night-5/28 order as a 6/1 order, because the automatic system queues them in order, so it is, for real, a 5/28.

So...maybe I might get it sooner than 5/18? :confused:

Received email: Never...Lucky I stopped home for lunch break in time to see the Fed ex truck
Delivery date: June 7th, 1pm

I sent an email asking verizon when my shipping email would be sent and heres the reply I recieved this afternoon....

"In review of your account, I found your phone, HTC Incredible, was sent out on June 3, 2010 and is scheduled to be delivered today, June 7, 2010. I apologize for not sending you an email with a FedEx tracking number. Your FedEx tracking number is ____________. My name is Mohammed and it was my pleasure to assist you with tracking the status of your equipment order.
Time to go play with my new phone!
 
Just an fyi, even though Amazon doesn't say they're on back order, they are. Cancelled my 5/26 order thinking I'd save some tax and get the phone quicker in one clean swipe. Nope.
 
Good News:

I am a 5/21 er and I got my email today (6/7)

Date Ordered: 5/21 Online
Date given to ship by: 6/9
Shipping via FedEx from West Chester due 6/8 by 3 PM
I live in central NJ

Bad News:

I just left this morning (6/7) for a trip out of town
and will not be back until 6/17 :(

Oh well ... at least other 5/21's are getting theirs

fedex alt/ref states info received 6/7 at 1:31pm and has not updated yet as of 10:30pm.
called verizon. they have no other info. cannot tell me why i did not receive e-mail notice or that it will ship today or tomorrow. CSR was clueless.
called fedex. they have not received package yet. just electronic info. its been 9 hours.
What Gives? Very frustrated at this point since some 5/22's have received e-mails.

Give it time, amigo, give it time. Verizon will send package info to FedEx as part of their daily routine. It only creates a pick-list for FedEx to pickup on their next scheduled pickup date (usually once or twice daily). Once the driver has the package on the truck, it gets the ball rolling in the FedEx system.

I'm sure by the time Steve Jobs finishes dreaming about his glamorous speech about a that iphone (that, BTW, couldn't connect to the web! LOL), you'll have yours in your hands...

Ordered by phone late in the evening of 5/19, it had a ship by date of 6/9. Friday morning, 6/4, I received notice it had been shipped with a delivery date of 6/8. Tracked the package and it arrived at the Seattle Sort Facility Saturday evening and the Seatte FedEx facility early Sunday morning, (3:45AM). Of course I thought for sure it would be delivered today, Monday, but that never happened. Oh well, FedEx said by 7:00PM Tuesday so it's another day of waiting.:(:(
 
By 3pm tomorrow!!!! WOOT! I cannot wait! AND I'm off tomorrow! Finally the wait is ova!

Ordered 5/19 shipped yesterday according to the e-mail. Live in Maryland ;)

Deep breath...lol

If they received electronic info on the 7th you should get your phone on the 9th with 2 day shipping. The webpage isnt live, and i dont think the fedex CSR's have access to live package tracing either...

Now, if the tracking info still isnt updated by sometime later today then you can get more upset.

Congrats I am a 5/25 Order hmm I wonder how long I got yet.. Sigh...It prob comin from West Chester Pa as well but I am near Pittsburgh PA (about 1hr out east of it Somerset Pa)
