Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I know this has probably been covered but how accurate are the ship by dates. I'm seeing a lot of people who placed orders before me, but yet my ship by date is at or around the same time as theirs (June 22nd).

I placed my order on June 4th.

just checked my email receipt and i placed my order on the 2nd and got a ship date of June 23 so i think the specifics change based on your location. :confused:
Cant figure out what my location code is though, hmmmm In greater Cincinnati area though.(NKY)

Arrived at my house at 2:00 today. unfortunately, i do'nt get home until a week from today.

Hey all, just wanted to say hi!

I ordered 2 Incredibles on June 8th (I think), with a ship by date of the 30th.

To kill the time, I've been reading up on everything I can, ordering extra cables, car and wall adapters, and have in general been irritating the wife by showing her cool apps and all the root news. She is not nearly as excited about all this as she should be...

At any rate, I still have to order screen protecters and cases now, so that should help to keep my mind off of the rest of the wait.

Ha, I ordered mine on the 7th, so have at least another week, but anytime I have the computer at home now, and I say to my wife I want to show her something, shes like "Does it have to do with your phone?" Which is of course followed by "You're Obsessed".

Sounds like mine. And my mother when I ask frequently per day if she has received shipping email.

Some people just dont get us
 
It's a shame they can't share in our excitement, agony, anxiety.... :D. I've rambled on about this phone so much I think my BF is finally onboard and is wanting to get one, too! :cool:

To make matters worse as I sit here and patiently wait for my phone (I am in the Chicago area and ordered on 6/2, ship date of 6/23), my husband who had a decent touch screen phone broke his screen yesterday... do you think I forfeited my upgrade??? NOPE! I made him downgrade to an old chocolate we had laying around! SO... if anyone has an older VZW phone in decent shape and is willing to donate (or sell for a decent price)... let me know! Thanks!

Any time now VZW, feel free to bring me my darn phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother keeps telling me the wait is good for me - blah! My quasi-BF just hopes the phone doesn't show up till after we get back from a trip next weekend. lol.
Thankfully one of my friends lets me ramble on and on about the phone - she's awesome! :)
 
I have been having a horrible experience and I need to vent about it a little bit. On 5/25, I placed an online order through Wirefly.com because they were selling the droid incredible for 149.99 and if you use bing cashback, you get an extra 50 dollars off, making the phone 99.99, half of what the price is if you order directly from Verizon. Initially, I had problems with customer support. I was always connected to someone in India who did not understand what I was trying to do. Ever. Seriously. I never found anyone to talk to that knew the answers to my questions during any of my phone calls to them. I brushed this off as I figured out the answers to my questions on my own and placed my order online. A few days later, I was e-mailed saying that they could not process my order until I paid my current balance with Verizon, and to reply to that e-mail when I had done so. After checking with Verizon, I realized I made a mistake when I made my last payment and owed them an additional $0.40. That 40 cents has made this whole ordeal miserable. When I realized I owed them 40 cents, I paid it then and there. Verizon received this payment 6/6, as stated when I called them and on their website. I replied to the e-mail I was sent from Wirefly, only to have it sent back to me saying the e-mail did not exist. I checked the address and it was fine. On 6/15, the 3 week mark, I e-mailed Wirefly. They told me that I still owed Verizon 40 cents. Verizon has assured me several times that they have received their payment, but Wirefly simply cannot understand this for some reason. If they e-mail/call me one more time saying that I still owe Verizon 40 cents, I am going to cancel my order and place a new one with Verizon, meaning I'll have to wait another 3 weeks or so.

Wirefly.com has decent prices but their customer service is atrocious. If you think there might be any small problem when making an order with them, do not place the order. If you think you can place an order with them without any problems, do not place the order. Basically, I do not recommend Wirefly at all and I really hope that I do not have to place another order and wait another 3-4 weeks.

My sister just finished jury duty and they wouldn't allow cell phones at all into the court rooms. What is wrong with these people??? :confused::p

The bigger shame is how unprepared Verizon was with the launch of this phone.

Actually rumor has it its a production problem, pre-VWZ. Samsung w/ the screens holding up the whole line, if I remember correctly...? Course VZW takes the beating though. Idc who's fault it is, I just want the damn thing.

5/30 over phone in Dallas-->6/22-->nothing.

I'm another 5/30 order (online) who still hasn't heard anything...the frustrating thing is that I live 15 minutes from one of the shipping depots!

They make it entertaining when you track your package from the fed-ex site.

This bar fills up with purple as its in transit and then its green with a check mark when it is delivered I swear I refreshed the pages over 100 times that day.

Hello everyone. I've been reading this thread for a while, and finally gave in and registered.

I *thought* the WSB was 6/22, maybe 6/24. I've called VZW a couple of times and get radically different answers each time (varying from 6/22 to 7/12). I've decided that calling is a waste of time... although it does provide some amusement to harass the VZW reps... since we have to endure this wait, it's only fair we give back some frustration to VZW, right? :D
