So I just flashed the Decks gingerbread ROM along with tiamet. My battery has been draining all day and is at 30% with only making one call today and thats it. Any suggestions on what to do or is this rom just not that great on battery life?????

I would blame the battery drain on the kernel, not the rom. :)

Have you tried any other versions of that kernel?
Have you tried maybe a Savage-Zen kernel?

Check out the other kernels available for AOSP in the roms and kernels sticky and see if another one works better.

Also the first charge cycle or two after a rom or kernel flash will be pretty bad on the battery. The phone has to settle in with the new software. ;)

Thanks a lot. I will give it until Friday then switch to another kernel if still having battery issues!!!

Which version of tiamat are you using? I am running Xplod with tiamat 3.3.7 which most agree 3.3.7 is the best one to run

Again, I would encourage everyone to pay attention to awake time on stuff like this. How much awake time do you have? Screen time?
Yep one thing also is when u flash a new rom u will spend a lot more time checking all the cool stuff about it out and that adds up to more awake time than usual. When i first started flashing I was on the phone doing stuff every chance i had.

Exactly!!!

well its just a measure of the amount of time your phone is in use. Check for wake locks I guess to minimize awake time but that's about it.

I was reading there a bunch of files to zip to minimize the wake lock. Mainly the 1.77 radio..heard that's the best radio...I went to my battery stats and it said time awake 45 mins....or something like that
