Help Defective Incredible

I have a HTC Incredible that I bought from Verizon Wireless. When holding the phone I experience a zap/numbness down the arm. I had three other people hold my phone and they all experienced the same problem. I tried reporting the problem to Verizon 9 times to help me get a temporary phone while the Incredible is on back order. However, they come back to me saying to either continue using the phone or you must get another phone and hold on to it for two years. I emailed the CEO and finally got a call back from executive relations. Now they keep calling me demanding to have the phone back.

"Hey doctor, it hurts when I move my arm like this"

"Ok, don't move it like that"

- I think you should take it in the store and have it zap an employee ... you should be able to get an exchange pretty quick!

So what is the issue? Are they now requesting the defective phone without sending a replacement?

I would assume that there could be extreme legal issues with a phone THIS defective. I'm sure they want it back ASAP.

1. Wax all hair off your arm and side of body
2. contact lawyer, issue lawsuit
3. submit as evidence, the phone that shocks you .. let it shock the jury and the judge

4. collect $5mil, send me my cut

They gave me a storm 2 and if i want any other phone they told me that i would have to hold on to it for 2 years. Its a joke. They then started asking me personal information and everything. I replied saying this has nothing to do with the phone. I had presidents of verizon calling me and everything.

All the presidents? jk

How long have you had the phone? If less than 30 days they should give you whatever phone you want...

I trashed another version of this thread a few days ago. I have no problem doing it again as i doubt it's veracity. I am watching YOU!

Steven is eying the the trash can.

Exactly why was it closed? I only have letters from northeast area executive relations. I loved the incredible but just had a big problem with the phone.

Looking at my HTC incredible, there is no bare metal anywhere on the surface of the phone.

Honestly, any electrical shock powerful enough to transmit THROUGH the glass/plastic/rubber shell and zap would toast the phone. I call BS.

I had an odd experience with a laptop that was zapping me, but that was because the laptop had a non-grounded power adapter and the keyboard deck was all metal. If i touched the laptop keyboard deck while it was plugged in, the hairs on the back of my arm would stand up. Swapped to a 3 prong grounded adapter and the issue went away.

But that was a grounding issue and an ALL METAL laptop.

Well considering they wouldn't have to much of a problem taking the phone back and sending you another one since they are so light and such. Then when they put it through the paces in the lab, then end up sending you a bill for the full retail price of a phone once they realize that you lied.

Thats usually what happens in instances like this

I got the feeling when i hold the phone where the charger goes and the headphone jack goes. All i know three other people felt the same thing, something had to cause it.

I already said why. I doubt its veracity. strike two!

I had the presidents of Verizon calling me too. They just wanted to see what was up, and how I liked the phone, nice guys, talked for a few hours last night.

Anyone else have this experience? I think I'm going to a poker game with a few of them later. They all have Iphones though, kinda strange.

Yeah! I met those guys. They ride flying unicorns to the game too right? And they have LTE iPhone 4's and 3g Verizon iPads.

I know you'd like to thank your story's true
But lean a little bit closer
See this thread really smells like boo-boo
Yeah, this thread really smells like boo-boo

the part of the headphone jack that is exposed isn't metal...

i also HIGHLY doubt the op has a legitimate problem. maybe it's all in his head...including the letters from the presidents. lol

the nail in the coffin...accepting the storm2 as a replacement to the incredible. :D
