Desire 2.2 OTA Update

Since the Official HTC Froyo is, I believe, European in origin it doesn't have U.S. English as a language. I am pretty sure that is why I cannot get Voice Actions to work on my phone. Oh well, that is a small price to pay for having Froyo ahead of the official Telus release in Canada.

Incidentally, it is the description of the application in the Market which indicates it doesn't support any language other than U.S. English.
 
Is anyone having issues since this update? I'm aware that it is no longer available at the moment OTA, but since installation I am having problems with the stock HTC Internet Browser.

Some webpages once loaded force the browser to quit back to the homescreen, and when you go back into it there is no record in the 'History' of ever visiting that page? Very strange.

Anyone else had this, or can recommend a fix? Thanks.
 
It appears that the 2.10.405.2 froyo patch is back!

I nearly gave up checking daily for the update option again and decided to give it one last go this afternoon and there it was. Just downloaded now without any probs. Even the wi-fis. :D

Btw, I'm stock unbranded on O2. Not rooted.
 
I have just checked and my phone cant see the update.

I did debrand it with the 2.09 RUU file with a gold card, does anybody know why i cant see the update? Has anybody else who debranded there phone using the ruu file managed to download the update OTA?

Yes it is back and the update went well.
No problems so far, but it looks like it improved my battery life. Did the update yesterday around 15:00. Normally at 21:00 my phone says it needs powersupply. Now at 23:00 still no message received (it just went orange!)
 
NB to have 25MB free on phone storage before starting process. Other than that, update was successful, took a long time to reboot first time, but all seems to be working fine. Haven't really noticed any differences tbh.
 
Something strange has happened to my contacts - I can now see them twice when selecting a contact for an sms message. I assume its picking up the 'phone' and 'message' contact. Some contacts are now listed twice too.
 
Just updated mine this morning to this latest update.

Havnt noticed any difference really apart from the battery definately seems to be going down slower! :cool:
 
The update has fixed the biggest flaw with the main Froyo update - that all Gmail accounts other than the primary wouldn't push. It's now working fine :)
 
Also, just tried using speech to text to type this, using the mic key on the keyboard, but it gave a "Unable to reach the server" error when processing the speech.

Can some one help?????????
