Man, it's been a while since I've seen you around here, good to see ya. Most of this was built off the work that you put in, so you deserve a lot of the credit, you put in tons of work on CM9, and the kernel. I'm just thankful for all the posts that you and everybody here has posted to help others learn how to do this stuff. I wish you nothing but the best! Good luck in all of your endeavors!

Hey g60, i just switch wife phone from cm7 and flashed CM-MTDEV9-20121231.zip with gapps-ics-20120429
Im using CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7
I did a wipe data/factory reset, wiped cache partition and dalvik cache.
then i went and flashed CM9, after that i flashed gapps, i rebooted system did all the setup, Now the problem im having is that Wi-Fi doesn't want to connect i rebooted again but it did not help.
Did i do something wrong, its been a long time since i don't play with the triumph, should i reflash the rom again?

I'm not g60, I know, but try redownloading both CM9 and gapps ICS. Then reflash. Either something messed up with the download or the flashing process. If it still doesn't work, try updating the recovery. Also make sure you are doing complete wipes between flashes. Try formatting system next time, since some apps reside there. Worth a try despite root issues coming from that. I always format system and have yet to have any problems. Also, can other phones connect to the router fine?

Hey MikeRL, other phones connect to router but i did what you told me, did complete wipes between flashes now , and YES it did work now Wi-Fi is up and running, thanks a lot for your quick response MTDEV'S FTW

No, i didn't restored any data with titanium, but a reflashed did fix the problem, thanks though.

Thanks for posting this! I was hesitant upgrading because I wanted to keep Snapchatting. Someone with Cm9 should test Instagram. If Instagram works I'm set. It has the option to use their 3rd party camera in addition to the normal camera so it's possible it could work.
Does the FFC work with snapchat?

No, It doesn't even recognize it. At least it doesn't crash like the others though
Instagram doesn't work. Seems anything that uses autofocus kills the camera.

Tried Snap Chat (that was post by Ziplipz to work) and it works you have make an account and login after taking pic save to SD and exit without posting picture to friends list. Pics 480x800 but little stretched.
Action Snap by Oursky LTD works but it takes shots at a lower resolution then Snapshots at 326x246 but have a few photo effect to choose.
can only take pictures with fast shot, nothing works with focus.

Camera MX starts off ok but goes green and off center adn hangs on saving. I tried over 25 apps and only 2 so far will save in corect color and centered.

can you provide a link to snapshot. I can't find it. I tried even the pro version of action snap and I can't find a way to increase the pixels past like 1MP. But at least its a working camera!!!!

SnapChat (not SnapShot). So Sorry I Tried so many apps in a row it all mixed up. It's app that Ziplipz posted above that they found to work. I just posted an example to show they both looked side by side.
I also tried pro version and ya nothing over 1MP for that. Will sit down latter and try out some more camera apps. I wonder if there is anything that would help for how these 2 apps can write the pictures to the SD card?

I would like to ask if you guys think that the camera auto focus, and taking 5MP pictures and 720p video is going to be possible on this build. Forgive my ignorance, but I have no idea what building a rom for this phone must be like, and I'm sure its not easy. I just want to know if you guys think its going to be possible or if cm9 has been pushed as far as it can go.

ZipLip, there haven't been many updates lately on the camera because MikeRL is sick with (and correct me if I'm wrong) bronchitis. Or maybe the Lupus. I don't know.
